Flo.com is the worst of the charging companies. They require you to have a bank of money in your wallet before you can use their service. This means that they get to hold your money before you use their product. It is also very inconvenient because charging stops when you run out of wallet. This requires you to engage a financial transaction on the app before you can finish a charge. Because you do not have a choice of charging companies at most locations, you are forced into this business model if you travel a route that is only served by Flo.com. I hope that they go out of business and are purchased by a reputable firm.

If there was a zero, I would have clicked it, hell, even -5 start I would, extremely expensive, taking advantage of clients, got charged 25$ for less than 20kw added. I got charged in a hotel location, where the hotel confirmed parking is free. Horrible support, bad experience, would not recommend to my enemies, let alone for friends, stay away find something else.
I used the FLO app to find a charging station near me. It directed me to one that was on private property. The station was not marked as private, and the FLO app allowed me to initiate a charge. I was then informed by an employee that I wasn't permited to charge and they shut the power off. I informed FLO about this and they said it wasn't their problem as the charger was owned and operated by ChargePoint, and that I should call them for service. The thing is, THE FLO APP BROUGHT ME HERE. I contacted ChargePoint and they confirmed that the station was not for public use.The FLO app has brought me to stations that are either not working, private, or failed to charger on multiple occasions in the past year. If EVs are to be adopted, stuff like this needs to be addressed.I've learned that PlugShare is the app to use to find a charging point.
I went to church at a station at a hotel in Revelstoke British Columbia. The charging time took eight hours my level two charger at home takes two hours. The cost was $30. A similar charge at home would cost six dollars. That’s a 500% profit the next time I will use a level one charger and try to plug it in in normal 120 V plug. I was not able to use the app on my phone other apps I had would not connect with it I could not use a credit card. I used a Hydro BC card that worked.
Chargers don't work at all on my car (Fiat 500e). Driver support phone number on charging stations sends you to an infinite HOLD, waiting for an agent that never answers (over 30 minutes). Intending to use Flo only on this one occasion, was forced to download and use the app, enter my data. After 3 adjacent stations all failed to deliver any current to my car, while the charger screens falsely indicated the car was connected, and concurrent continuous no-answer on phone, I had no more time due to an appointment and left. Minutes later received notifications from my bank that Flo had taken $280.00 from my bank account! Without any visible/perceptible warning, notification or transaction confirmation/processing screens or information via their app or the charging stations! TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY US DOLLARS! I am still trying to get the full refund due to me. The company's support access info online is obscure, hidden, difficult to find, and utterly disappointing when you do telephone for help. As in "I am taking a message" and NO SUPPORT TICKET NUMBER given. Fortunately, I live in Washington State, and our Consumer Protection Law is very strong. The company has violated these laws (as described above), and I informed them by email today that if I don't have a full refund from them within 5 business days, I am filing a formal legal action against Flo with the Washington State Attorney General. This is important for everyone to do, when you have been misled, defrauded or abused through unfair business practices. It is our duty to each other as good citizens and fellow consumers to follow through in order to prevent further abuse, damages, and loss caused to others by unscrupulous, incompetent or careless businesses.
FLO EV charging company has an app that allows you to hold funds to charge your vehicle. I submitted funds into my wallet for future public charging services, but did not use their service and requested a refund of my wallet funds. They have been holding my funds for over a month and have refused to issue a refund which sums to $885.00. I have requested a refund on my account balance for over month and have emailed and called every single week to follow up. they has been no movement and every time i call they tell me either I have not responded to their emails (which is a total lie) or contradictorily, they tell me it is being investigated with no determination date in sight. They said a manager needs to approve but no movement has been made for a month and every time I call their manager is not in the office. I have attempted to escalate and everytime they tell me that they will have a supervisor call me back and they never do. They have gone as far as requesting a voided check and my personal banking information before going silent on me. I want my refund of my wallet funds from the flo ev app. I have submitted the following Support tickets # 00764389, 00764389, 00762930, 00778693, 00778713, 00748957
