My partner and I are now 2 months post-tenancy (after 5 years of timely rent payments, even with annual increases) and the company has ignored my daily calls and emails reminding them that our deposit is yet to be returned. I will be starting dispute resolution with the deposit holding company tomorrow. I strongly advise against this company; during our tenancy, we were ignored when inquiring about repairs, with our only communication being an increase notice in April.
Living with the service has been one of the most distressing experiences of my life. Over three years, I faced constant pressure, negligence, and intimidation in what should have been a safe home. They ignored basic legal protections, shifted responsibilities onto tenants, and refused to investigate serious financial, safety, and data protection issues. This cumulative stress harmed my health, cost me jobs, and led to significant financial loss. I have lived with them for three years and experienced numerous issues, including improper deposit handling, data breaches, and severe neglect of maintenance and safety. Rent is above market rate, yet basic living standards are unmet. This has been the worst experience I’ve had with any landlord in the UK.
Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been extremely frustrating. For over six months, I've been chasing them to resolve multiple maintenance issues. I've emailed and called several times, but nothing has been done. The unresolved issues include faulty plumbing, a malfunctioning oven, a mice infestation, and damaged kitchen cupboards. Despite these problems, rent payments are still expected on time, while basic living issues are ignored. This company shows poor customer service and weak property management. I would advise others to be cautious before renting through them.
