I purchases all new appliances for my new construction home, which was $15,000.00. The dishwasher almost immediately started leaking. The warranty information requires you to go through Bodewell Appliance Care Experts, and not the store you purchased from, even if they are an authorized dealer. The first company they arranged to come look at the dishwasher didn't show up after my wife, who was 36 weeks pregnant at the time, took off work and sat at home for 10 hours (the appointment time was 8am-5pm and couldn't do anything until after the 5pm deadline passed). Their response was to offer to send us paper plates and $25 for my wife's time. It's been a nightmare to reschedule. We are now on our 4th appointment, which we have had to take off work to be home for, and the dishwasher is still not fixed. The max compensation they can offer someone for this headache is $75. I will never purchase a GE Appliance again.
This company is dreadful. It would be better to go without appliances than to buy from them. Their products can be hazardous due to poor construction. My gas dryer constantly breaks down. Repair professionals have mentioned it's due to "poor manufacturing design and low-quality parts." They didn't have the necessary parts in stock and had to order them, which will take a week. I can either attempt the repair myself or wait for the technician to come back, but the date is uncertain.
