DO NOT get Gelert walkingboots!. THESE ARE NOT WATERPROOF AT ALL!. Complete waste of money & Feet are soaked in even sports Direct are are total SHAM!, DO NOT even deserve 1*. False advertising as these boots have wrote on their boots Waterproof & they NOT!
I have been buying Gelert Horizon Waterproof shoes and boots for many years, and am very glad that they are still available. They obviously have signs of wear after about 3 years, but they never stop being waterproof in my experience. They are also comfortable and give your feet stable support.
I had a pair of waterproof boots bought for my birthday a few days ago. I wore them out shopping when it was raining and by the time i got home my feet, mainly around the toes were wet. They are comfortable but i wouldnt say waterproof regardless of what they claim.
Bought Gelert waterproof walking shoes in May 2022 .A few weeks ago {Nov 2022].whilst walking along a wet pavement after rain I noticed a squishy sound coming from the right shoe and took it off at work and noticed my sock was soaking wet. The bottom of the shoe had split and was absorbing water. Considering I don’t always wear these shoes and wear another pair more than these. They haven’t lasted very long. Would never buy the make again. 👎
Not sure Gelert can improve, brought so called 'waterproof' boots from Sports Direct, failed after a couple of weeks, got an exchange for same/new one's, same story with general walking use the second pair have now failed leaking via the weak badly designed and manufactured sole. Will never use Gelert brand or Sports Direct again, I'm a service veteran and war pensioner and can't afford to waste money on rubbish footwear.
Bought a pair of gelert waterproof boots (they have two kinds that they advertise...ones which say just ‘walking boots’ the others say ‘waterproof walking boots’....bought the latter and paid extra for the waterproof because i am fed up of wet feet when it’s raining ).... they are crap! Had dry feet on maybe 5 occasions in wet weather, ever since I might just as well have been barefoot! Soaking wet feet even in June when there’s only been moderate rain...yes bought from sports direct who apparently now own Gelert......avoid at all costs......actually i’d avoid sports direct at all costs, they’re a poo company all round!! ...you only need to go into one of their shops and see how unhappy their staff are to realise they’re a bad company...as a parent of a uni kid ...each and every one of his friends say they’d rather go hungry than work at sports direct! Horrible company.
