Review Time
GenderGP have implemented an ID verification system, and it doesn't work. I have provided them with everything they've asked for multiple times but they keep telling they can "see my ID is valid" and need to provide a selfie when prompted. It never prompts you to do so.
I have been in contact with their "help" service for over 2 weeks now with no response, and they've continued taking my money while not providing assistance or the medical care I pay them for.
Okay once you get your hormones. I ran out of half of my medicines 3 weeks ago and reaching out to GenderGP has not been easy. The Hub sent me round in circles and emailing was pretty useless.
I got a prescription that was not correct and I have emailed twice to get some help and I am still waiting.
It has affected my dysphoria waiting like this and my depression.
I was able to start HRT within two months back in 2020, which is the only positive aspect I found. Unfortunately, the lack of communication is frustrating, and the pricing is excessive. They fail to deliver the administrative support that I have paid for. The service was better in the past, but now it feels like they are just focused on profit and not providing adequate help. I've been waiting two weeks for administrative assistance that should have been received within 24 hours. If you can afford this service, I recommend looking into alternatives.
I managed to start HRT within two months back in 2020, which is the only positive I can mention about the company. Communication is nearly non-existent, the pricing is outrageous, and they consistently fail to provide the administrative support I've paid for. The service was much better a few years ago, but now it feels like they are just after your money and not genuinely helping. I've been waiting for two weeks for some admin support that should have arrived within 24 hours. If you can afford this service, I suggest exploring other options.
LRC Radio 11 Dec 16:30 A critical topic for today's discussion. I listened to a representative on a different platform this afternoon and was left unimpressed. They avoided sensible questions and seemed defensive at times. Is this a commercial organization? It appears so. Listen to the catch-up recording to form your own opinion. I felt disappointed and shocked. And just to clarify, I have no affiliation with that platform or any related organization.
Just listened to the representative on the radio, and she seemed very angry and unwilling to address challenging questions. She only engaged with those who shared her views, disregarding the concerns of others. A very concerning approach from someone in her position.
This service is fantastic. Everyone I've interacted with has been incredible—empathetic, knowledgeable, and truly supportive. After waiting 3.5 years on the NHS, I joined this service and within six months, I had started hormones and even had my surgery. I can't recommend them enough. They genuinely care about assisting individuals and always go the extra mile. Recently, I faced an issue with ID, and the representative was quick to help. They are always there for you. A perfect score!
The only consistent aspect of their service seems to be the automatic withdrawal of fees. I've been forced into menopause twice at 27 due to their mishandling. I feel mistreated by this company. Moreover, if you wish to voice a complaint about your treatment, it will cost you extra. You can't simply reach out with your questions.
If I could rate this company zero stars, I would, as even one star feels too generous! I've waited 36 days for my prescription, receiving emails confirming it was sent, yet nothing has arrived. Speaking to someone about my issues requires a fee, and they take monthly payments without providing any service. I feel utterly let down and disgusted; they seem only interested in profit. I recommend steering clear of this company.
