Review Time
loved most of the experience; however, I could not resize the logo, so I am happy, but this could be better if I could resize my logo in the QR generation and be able change font of the text.
I recently tried GetQR.com on their one-week trial and had a very poor experience. Within a few hours of testing the service, I realized it was not what I expected and the platform felt subpar for my needs. Unfortunately, I forgot to cancel the trial before the billing date and was charged for the subscription.
As soon as I noticed the charge, I immediately contacted their support team requesting a refund. Their response was disappointing. They claimed that because I “used the service today” I was not eligible for a refund, which is simply not accurate. Despite explaining the situation and reaching out right away, they refused to issue any refund and continued to hide behind their policy.
What makes this worse is the lack of transparency around the trial ending. Many reputable companies send reminder emails when a trial period is about to expire or check in to see how your experience has been. I received no such communication. The whole experience felt less like a customer-focused service and more like a “snatch-and-grab” billing tactic designed to catch people who forget to cancel.
Instead of working with customers in good faith, their support came across as rigid and unwilling to help, which left a very bad impression. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others before signing up for a trial with GetQR.com.
BEWARE - THIS IS A SCAM. I created a birthday video for my partner and wanted a QR code for his card to make it special. I searched for free QR code options, and this site appeared—initially, it seemed reasonable at 99p! However, later that month, I was charged £39.99. They lure you in with a 7-day trial. I disputed the charge, and my bank is processing a refund. Shame on the people behind this service; I wish you nothing but bad days ahead.
I spent $0.99 to generate a QR code for a Christmas gift, but it seems I misunderstood the website, as I was unexpectedly charged $29.99 for a recurring subscription! While I acknowledge that I might have overlooked something, this fee for QR code access is outrageous. After canceling my subscription, I discovered that the gift I created would only function until the end of the subscription period. Once cancelled, the QR code becomes inactive! The customer service was awful, with no one available to assist, refund, or resolve the issue—just an AI responding to my disappointment via email. I will not use this service again.
It is impossible to update my bank details. The support team is unresponsive. I attempted to reactivate my QR code, which I have already paid for. I urgently need it as it's printed on promotional materials, but it remains inactive. The chatbot assistance is ineffective. I strongly advise against using this service.
