Fantastic day with our wonderful guide. Packed with interesting activities. Trang An is incredibly beautiful, and seeing the Buddha was truly amazing. Hang Mua is absolutely breathtaking from the top, even though the climb up there is quite exhausting. The steps up to Mua Cave are not for the faint- hearted, but a great experience. The boat trip was wonderful. Highly recommended.
I used Get Your Guide to book many tours when I traveled Europe for 3 months. It was an easy way to browse multiple experiences in a city, and to pay easily (online and in AUD). It's also great to have all your activity bookings in once place. There's a lot to manage when you're on the road, so using the app was a big help! The majority of my tours and experiences were fantastic. I had one cancel the day after I booked it, but I got a full refund. I'll definitely use GYG the next time I'm on holiday.
Ely, who organised the tour, was very responsive. When I was a bit unsure about exactly how to pay, he cleared up the problem straight away. He also did an excellent job of sending me pictures of himself, and our guide, so that there was no problem in making contact at the start of the tour.
Awfull. Very dangerose overloading of the minivan. They press inside 12 people and all laguage in 1 car for ectually 10 passengers. Driver was laughing and tried to say that we have to much things with us (12 pers and only 5 pices of big laguage).
It was just awfull because you couldt get out of the car and it was just dangerouse to travell like that.
When searching online to buy an advance ticket for the Prado museum this GetYourGuide site managed to put itself on top of the search results, so I inadvertently bought a ticket from them at € 18 (official Prado price € 15). At the museum itself I see the reduced price of € 7.50 for seniors (which I am), but on arrival at the Prado they wouldn't return the extra money because I bought from a third party (GetYourGuide). So be warned: don't get trapped by GetYourGudie but buy your tickets on the site of the official cultural venue you intend to visit.
I could not fault the entire experience.
I am one of those people who is very wary about this sort of thing.But I didn't need to worry. The whole day was so well organised. From collection from the hotel. To bring dropped off in the evening.
Based on instructions, we met for our guided tour of the Last Supper at the designated location (front door of church) with another family in our 8:00 tour. That party was there prior to 7:45 and no tour guide was present. It was cold & rainy, but we asked around the piazza and inside, and still no guide. Other identifiable guides with brightly colored Get Your Guide signs began arriving for later groups, one of whom was rude when asked about our guide. I called several times. Finally, I was told that our guide was there, but no guide was at the meeting spot. I walked out into the rain and found a discreet man with a small white paper who had our tickets. He handed us our tickets, left, and still no guide. We were now late, with no guide, and had to split our group and go along with 3 different groups. We weren't given headsets and did not receive a guided tour. We should be refunded. GYG is fighting me on a full refund. The experience was tremendously horrible and I'd never recommend this company.
We took a guided food walking tour through New Orleans. Some people booked the tour within 15 minutes of it starting increasing our tour numbers over the amount that most food venues could easily accommodate. They had a second guide arrive at the beginning to accommodate this unexpected, last minute addition which impressed me. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, interesting, and engaging. I loved this tour. All of the food was very good, and with the tour being 3 hours, it was a great value.
Have just been to Sharm el Sheikh and booked 2 trips, 1 to Sharm itself and the local landmarks and market, and one to Ras Mohammed National Park to see its sights and go snorkeling.
Both were well organised with good contact prior, confirming pick up times. The guides were both really nice people, with good knowledge and the trips were enjoyable. The snorkeling particularly was excellent.
They were miles cheaper than the hotel/travel company excursions.
