A very poor experience in 2021

A very poor experience in 2021. We were initially impressed with Sliderobes explanation of their attention to detail and quality of there bespoke wardrobes. We had a designed visit to show us what was possible in our bedroom and chose a colour and wood type. A couple of days later he emailed a design and we accepted the quote of £2600 for a double door wardrobe. Expensive we thought but we are getting the best on the market, so we were told. The designer came again to take final measurements. p We paid a deposit. Install was planned for a couple of months later to fit in with our planned holiday. During the time we were chased for a second payment and informed that our chosen colour and wood grain design was no longer available. So we went to the showroom to chosen again...a second choice which we were disappointed about. We paid our second payment. The install was supposed to take one day. Unfortunately the measurements taken be the designer were wrong and the doors did not fit because our ceiling was slightly bowed in the middle. The doors would have to be cut down at the factory. A couple of days later the installer came back fitted the doors and instead of fitting a facial board to cover the gap between ceiling and wardrobe we have a huge expanse of silicon filling the gap. In the meantime I had noticed that the internals were not fitted or cut correctly leaving gaps and the top of the inside of the wardrobe was our original ceiling which was green and had screw holes left unfilled. I asked him to rectify as these didn't look great. Again another piece had to be cut at the factory and we were told that the ceiling panel was never ordered. How they expected us to be satisfied with the finished result is beyond me. After chasing them the ceiling panel was fitted a couple of weeks later. All this time our bedroom was in a mess. When another installer came to finish the job I asked him why one half of the wardrobe internals was different to the other half. Screw covers were missing and shelves did not fit against the back wall. Again a return visit to rectify. A one day installation turned into several weeks...all the time we had to chase and telephone sliderobes to complete the job. Customer service was very poor. Covid and shortage of materials was blamed for installers not turning up.We eventually have a wardrobe, not of our chosen colour or wood design. It certainly is bespoke...if bespoke means filling in gaps with silicon to make them fit..which doesn't look great. The doors never quite shut, always slide open a little which makes me think they were fitted incorrectly. It's a wardrobe and a nice wardrobe but not of great quality we were promised and not worth £2600. For all the trouble we had with this installation no apology or gesture of goodwill on the price was mentioned. I shall not be using their services again and would not recommend.

This warranty is an Internet scam .only difference is,they are masquerading it under a true British motoring organisations reputation.Don't do it.especially like I did .with the super £599 package.go to the cash point and draw out the money and set fire to it to keep warm.that way at least you have something for your money.They WILL NOT. Pay out for anything.even the things it states are covered.there is a clause..for a clause .and if they can't find one they will dig 15 layers deeper of clauses until they do.Yes.they cover electronic parts..unless it's anywhere near an exhaust...coil pack..yes ..as long as its a £3.99 one from primary. Air conditioning...yes..oh.unless there's a pipe involved.Labour cost..yes.if it's £5 PER HOUR IN MICKEY MOUSE GARAGE..list goes on .oh and tell porkies.saying they speak to the garage.tell you they did.state they will not pay based on that conversation.then emerges...they didn't.The fact trading standards don't sort these people out is a mystery.So.all in all go with Momentum. Warranty.no messing..friendly.straight into the franchise dealership.and all sorted out for you in your absence. I'm just bemused at 37 other 1 star reviews .that I can see .all recieve the same stock condescending answer .of how they take it seriously. One dating back 5 years.And how they will get better .No..really..get better .or refund my money.Just waiting my stupid reply now.
