I went to the Gordon Ramsey restaurant at Heathrow Airport.I am a Type 1 Diabetic and needed a quick juice and carbohydrate. I told the waiter and he took 20 minutes to bring juice. The French fries showed up 45 minutes later. My blood sugar dropped to a 42 and they were not helpful. They then gave me a bill for 19,50 British Pounds which was $24.25 USA dollars. The orange juice was less than 12ozThe French fries were served in a paper cup. This restaurant is a farce and they should be shamed. Gordon Ramsey has a scam going on.
Gordon Ramsay, Battersea Power Station: thanks to our waitress for being so attentive and helpful. Delicious meal, lush cocktails. We were the two who asked for our food to be delayed so we could grab icecreams from Venchi before it closed. First time eating dessert before dinner. 😀
My son worked for GRR for a short period as a Senior Chef De Partie. Owing to very poor conditions (mainly stemming from wrong payments, poor communication and the HR department getting things wrong time and time again) he, and 5 colleagues all resigned at the same time. They were all totally dispirited and disillusioned with working for Gordon Ramsey. It didn't stop there tho. He got another job and things seem to be going well - but because Ramsey's HR department are totally inefficient, he's been put onto emergency tax code as they have not forwarded his P45 / P60 documents. So, he's now struggling to sort out his pay from his new company - all because of Ramsey's company. How many of the other leavers are having the same troubles? A worldwide name, TV personality, restaurants all over, and this is the level of treatment his staff gets? Disgraceful. I know he's considered a bully and an aggressive little man on TV but you would like to think that his company might be run along professional standards. He seems to make a big deal about other people not being professional? Anyone else had similar experiences?
This rate isn’t because of the food, but rather one of the staff. He forgot to bring us our drink, he didn’t give us cutlery even after the food was served, he didn’t get us napkins. He didn’t check back to see if the food was ok, which it wasn’t. He’d said he’d make sure the wings only had a little sauce, they were covered and in a flavour I didn’t order. We felt due to this service we didn’t feel inclined to pay the service tip, but said we’d pay the rest. He didn’t ask why we wouldn’t pay it, just acted very off with us. Then we realised we been charged for something we didn’t order. Another staff member heard us talking to each other about it and said she’d check with her manager. The manager was lovely. He listened to our experience and offered us free desserts, which we accepted. Then this is when it gets bad… while the manager was sorting our deserts, the waiter who originally served us came over to us and started a conversation aggressively with us. His opening sentence was “Why did you go above me if you had a problem” this very quickly escalated to him being sarcastic, then to venting his anger shouting and telling my friend she could never come back to the restaurant. When the manager came over with our desserts he was quite shocked to hear about his staffs actions. Especially as he’d already tried to rectify his initial wrong doings. He said he would talk to him about his actions. I still left feeling humiliated and disappointed.
Myself and my Husband recently went to the 02 branch for a show, the band Duran Duran where playing. We had to have a quick bite to eat so we decided to stop off at Street burger by GR. To our suprise the food came out exceptionally quick and our waiter was ontop of his game, always checking up on us to see if we needed anything, clearing our table even if there was a small piece of paper just sitting there, empty glasses and unwanted sauces where removed immidiately which such a breath of fresh air becasue it gave us so much Room to enjoy a conversation without having to worry about gettingfood on our cloths. Outr Waiter was a South African guy very charming, and seemed alot older than the other staff so he knew exactly what he was doing, very experainced and professional, so polite. We will also be stopping of near Charing Cross Soon for the Kings Corination so we will definitly look up a GR street burger nearby. Thanks Luke our time there was amasing.
Went with a friend to have dinner tonight in the restaurant. Have a fish dish with poor presentation and very salty. I was asking for tap water but instead I got to serve still water only with extra pay. 15% service charge should be optional and the waiter didn’t even ask whether I want to pay for that or not. Cocktails drink is around 15 each which is so expensive. End up two persons spending over 160 pounds with such poor service and poor dish, I won’t be coming back.
Bread Street Battersea.1. Only 2 vegetarian options2. Duperfoid bowl ended up being mostly kale, dressing not tossed 3. Wrong order brought for me. Taken away4. Cod arrived, uncooked. Taken away.5. Cod finally arrived in a kind of red wine sauce, didn't hit the palette notes6. My friend and I ate out of sync as she had almost finished by time I got mine 7. Tea arrived, tiny pot for 1 only 3cm of water, half full! Awful experience, food wise and service wise. So disappointed as had come up from Kent to have a day out and we chose this restaurant because its name implied it was endorsed by GR.
At Heathrow I had a decent meal but when the bill came out had 5£ of optional service fee. I saw this too late (didn't have my glasses and trusted to be billed only what I consumed for). The waiter did not warm me about this, simply took my money. Crazy and dishonest. It shame on you.
