Just had an octopus heat pump installed by greener energy and from start to finish they have been great to deal with. The whole process was very quick and every department we dealt with helped with any issues quickly and with a great attitude. Matt and his team installing the system were all great craic, very tidy and left the house in a great condition. We had to box in some of the pipework and we couldn't be happier with how it looks, great attension to detail throughout. Couldn't recommend enough.
Excellent job by GEG .Had solar panels and battery's fitted wasn't sure about doing it but glad I made the switch now. The scaffolders and the guys who fitted the roof panels Thomas and David all done a brilliant job. Joe who came out to do the survey aswell so thanks.
We had Greener Energy Group in to quote us for an air source heat pump, new water tank, radiators and ended up needing new pipework too. Joe gave us lots of information and showed us our savings at initial review and we decided to go for it with the grant and loan support.Scott in the office was fantastic throughout the application process and ensured it all went through seamlessly and before long we had our funding and could proceed to the installation.The installers worked tirelessly during some very hot days to get everything done, and even came back a 4th day to sort some things that weren’t finished yet. Thomas on the electrical side of things was also very informative and super helpful.Overall we are very happy with the heat pump and full system, our old fixer upper house had an awful shower which has somehow become amazing with this system!! It makes a bit of a hum outside at times but it’s not really bothersome. We did have to knock our review down sadly for a few reasons:1. One of the main ones was misinformation at the initial meeting that may have impacted our decision had we known the truth. We are planning an extension to our house next year and the water tank was to go somewhere temporarily and then move to the extension once completed. We were told at the initial meeting that this is a cheap enough job to do. Then 4 days before the install and was due the install manager informed us this was actually about £3000. Not cheap at all in my book and caused us anxiety trying to make last minute changes to where the tank was going.2. There were a few of the old pipes left sticking up out of the floor from the old radiators. I managed to spot a couple before the lads left so they could remove them but I have since found another small one poking up since the work was completed. Might not seem like much but when we have a 2 year old daughter running about that’s actually quite dangerous. There was also random open ended wires left hanging in the kitchen close to the sink where the old gas boiler was, which while we guessed they mustn’t be live, we didn’t want to test that out. Thomas was great to sort them when he was back for another job.3. One of the new radiators added to the upstairs bedroom was placed infront of one of our plug sockets. I have since been in touch and they are coming back to move the plug, but I thought that was a bit of a strange thing to do in the first place.4. Quite a lot of packaging/general rubbish left lying around in our front garden after the work was completedDespite a couple of issues above, we’d like to thank the whole team for their work in making our heating future better for the planet and better for my young family as a whole.Thanks and all the best.
I entered into an agreement with Greener Energy Group for a solar and battery installation and paid a £500 deposit. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish:Misleading Information: At consultation I was promised 11 panels would fit on my roof and that I could arrange my energy account switch before installation. Both turned out to be untrue.Poor Communication: I had to chase repeatedly for updates over several weeks. Installation dates were missed without explanation, and scaffolding was left on my property long after works were cancelled.No Proper Survey: No survey was carried out before the install date, leading to a last-minute discovery that fewer panels could fit, and I was offered an insulting £200 per missing panel.Property Damage: Their subcontractor smashed a glass balustrade panel on my decking. I am still awaiting a resolution.Unfair Charges: After cancelling due to these failings, Greener Energy Group tried to keep my £500 deposit and even attempted to charge an additional £500 for scaffolding — despite their repeated errors and poor service being the reason for cancellation.Stress & Disruption: This experience caused significant wasted time, disrupted other work at my property, and left me without the installation I was originally sold.I have now gone with a different supplier and secured a much better deal — a Tesla Wall Connector, a Tesla Powerwall extension pack, and 4 extra solar panels — all for the same overall price that Greener Energy were charging.

The final courtesy call from Laura rounded off a great overall experience.A particular shout out for the two teams of installers, the sparks and the roofers who were ever so helpful in explaining everything and handling the most stupid of questions.
