Review Time
This was our second experience with the service, and it did not go well. There was too much time allocated to Reykjavik while the east and west fjords received too little attention. On the ninth day, we had to drive over 400 km from our northern hotel to Snaefellsnes. Furthermore, the accommodations were located too far from the scenic attractions. I would not choose this service again.
It was an unforgettable adventure! I highly suggest participating in these tours. The driver was excellent, and the hotel room along with breakfast were top-notch. The nature was incredibly serene and beautiful, allowing me to capture stunning photos everywhere.
This was our second time using the service, and it wasn't a great road trip. There was too much time scheduled in Reykjavik and not enough for the east and west fjords. On the ninth day, we had to drive over 400 km from our northern hotel to Snaefellsnes. The hotels booked were also too far from scenic spots. I wouldn't use this service again.
My sister and I booked a 5-day tour through the service (from Dec 29th, 2025, to Jan 2nd, 2026). The package included guided tours and overnight stays at various hostels. We were excited to explore and celebrate New Year's in this beautiful country. Unfortunately, the service failed to inform us that luggage over 24 inches couldn't be taken on the bus (our suitcase was 32 inches). We were only notified about this by the bus company the day before the second tour began. With our vacation already started, it was impossible to re-pack. After a chaotic day of calls and emails with the advisors, we were offered to leave our suitcase at the tour operator's office, which wasn't feasible as we needed our winter clothing. Despite explaining our predicament, there was no understanding or alternative solutions offered. The booking confirmation had no mention of luggage size restrictions. Most would agree this is essential information, especially in winter. Since no suitable options were provided, we had to find a solution ourselves: either cancel the tour and find last-minute accommodation in Reykjavik (good luck on New Year's Eve!) or rebook our flight to leave Iceland the next day. The latter turned out to be the easiest and cheapest option. Unsurprisingly, we never received an apology from the service for their miscommunication and unprofessional handling. For anyone considering booking a tour with this company, I strongly advise planning your vacation independently!
We are generally satisfied with the service: you can rely on them to create a good trip. However, they could improve by showing more initiative when building blocks are canceled. While these cancellations aren't their fault, they could be more proactive in suggesting alternative options. We had to ask for alternatives, and it would have been better if they had taken the lead.
The suggested driving itinerary with multiple accommodation options each night worked well for us, as it allowed flexibility and adaptability. The lack of sunlight during Christmas posed a challenge for sightseeing, requiring some on-the-fly planning. The mandatory parking fees were frustrating until we figured them out. A simple flyer on "How to Park" from rental companies would be beneficial. The scenery was breathtaking, and the food was impressive. Overall, quite enjoyable.
