have waited 7 months to review my hair transplant at HGC as wanted to see the results . I had my hair transplant under dr Nayak at his Romford clinic . The most important thing to say is I’m delighted with the results . I have a great natural looking hair line and it has taken at least 5 years off me !The procedure is long and fairly uncomfortable but the staff at the clinic are nice and keep you updated on what is going on. The initial anaesthetic injections are quite painful but after a few minutes you don’t really feel much. There was a bit of pain where the anaesthetic had worn off a bit but they did ask if I needed any more anaesthetic and I declined so the option is there if you need it .In terms of the process the clinic do a bit of a hard sell on you and on the day they try to sell you extra treatment ( prp/growth factor injections ). I did decide to have these after I’d looked into it but I feel they could talk to you about this before the procedure. It is also important to note this Is a low cost hair transplant and as such you should know what to expect . It’s not a luxurious experience as you might get if you pay a bit more . The only part the surgeon does himself is he opens the holes for the transplanted hair follicles to be inserted ( which is the most important bit ) . Otherwise it is the technicians that extract and implant the hair. However they do have to undertake significant training before being allowed to perform the procedure. Also the after care isn’t amazing . On the day they send you off with allThe medication and advice you need and you don’t really hear from them after that. My only contact was because I had growth factor injections. Having said that I had no issues so had no real reason to contact the clinic. After 6 months they contacted me to ask for some photos to review and ask if they could use them on their website . There was no face to face follow up meeting . I have no complaints about any of this as it was pretty much what I expected. I’m just making future patients aware of what to expect . I am overall delighted with the results and would recommend the clinic toOther people considering having a hair transplant
My experience was not amazing. I did a commitment and contract with the team before surgery to have at least 3000 grafts transplanted in one surgery as agreed with their specialist. When the doctor saw me on the day of surgery, he told me that my situation will need two surgeries which was a surprise to me and not as agreed before. Then I told him that I am not happy to go for a second surgery and I want the maximum possible grafts in this surgery as per our agreement. During the surgery, there were no mirrors inside the room to see what is happening or to know about the progress, e.g. which areas were still left or needed grafts to be focused or had them distributed in the way that I want, even we did not have a chat about that during surgery. Then after surgery, the doctor told me that he put only 2100 grafts because of bleeding which I was not aware of during surgery. So I was very upset they did not have a chat with me during surgery that bleeding was affecting the number of grafts so that I would decide and prioritise about the places of recipient areas that needed to be focused. Therefore, I felt regret that I decided to do this surgery here instead of having it done much cheaper in one of the famous countries with 4000-5000 grafts. Over all, I am not happy with the number of grafts which was not as agreed before surgery with their specialist. However, I am happy with healing after surgery and the post operative plan.
