After 2 days of email exchanges, I walked away. 2 reasons for this.

I said I wanted to have a independent check on the car. They told me this was not a good idea as it had been checked and would be a waste of money. They finally agreed to it, but I think every email I received from them was completely against me doing this.

Secondly they insisted on me have a test drive, to sign off on the car. I said I didn’t want to. They said I must. I said in over 50 years of motoring I had never driven an automatic, so a test drive would tell me nothing.
They sent this to me, “you would need to drive it to see if you get along with the car and if you like the way it drives” After never driving an automatic I don’t think after a short drive on ANY automatic car, I or anybody would be able to tell if we would get along with the car and if we liked the way it drives.

The Norwich branch is ran out of a very shabby office with less than helpful staff.

The particular vehicle we were interested had changed price since viewing it on line. The price had increased by £500 in a couple of days.

The sales man told us that the more times it is viewed on Autotrader the more Hammond add to the price.

Considering the vehicle needs £1000 spent on cambelt replacement as well as a full wheel refurbishment plus tyres it’s very overpriced without the price increases.

The vehicle on just turned over and struggled to start. With multiple faults showing on the dashboard.

This is one company I will NOT buy a vehicle from.

We looked at an xc60 it had a half flat tyre with a big gouge in the side wall a damaged and badly repaired wing mirror, the mot had almost run out, they wouldn't renew the tyre, give it an mot or reduce the price. Sums it up really.

Another Great Experience with the Company

What can I say? This is my second vehicle purchased from the company, both from different locations. The latest one was from the Norwich site, and we worked with a representative named Kurtis. The buying process was very straightforward, even the test drive was done solo. We encountered a minor issue after three days with a noise from the wheel, but upon checking at a local garage, it turned out to be a defective tyre. I contacted the warranty team, and a representative named Chris agreed to cover the replacement. Overall, excellent customer service.

Great Experience with the Car Purchase

After conducting some research, I discovered a car that piqued my interest at a local dealership. A friendly sales representative greeted me and allowed me to thoroughly examine the vehicle while answering all my questions before I took it for a test drive. The entire purchasing process was clearly explained, and even though I could have taken the car home right away, I opted to place a deposit and pick it up the following day. Everything was handled efficiently, and I had the choice to trade in my old vehicle, although I chose not to. Overall, I was very pleased with the entire experience, the customer service, and the vehicle.

Nevertheless, he managed the situation commendably. My transaction was finalized within a business day, with most paperwork completed in just over fifteen minutes. My bank was initially concerned about the company's policy of accepting payment solely via bank transfer, which raised a fraud alert, but they quickly confirmed the legitimacy of the transaction. Provided the car operates smoothly for a while, I will be completely satisfied with this experience.
