It was lovely taking part in the August Happy Parents Happy Baby Antenatal classes in Newcastle and the experience was worth the fee. We had real trouble trying to find any Antenatal/NCT sessions for this time of year for some reason and HPHB were very accomodating.The in-person location was central so participants were able to attend from the surrounding areas and it gave my husband and I a chance to chat with people who were at a similar stage of pregnancy to us.Our course leader was easy going, informative and helpful and each session was led with patience, humour and open discussion.The online study material, coupled with the weekly in-person practical sessions and followed up with an online Q&A session the following day meant that no stone was left unturned and we were able to return to any elements that we needed further clarification on.At the end of the course, HPHB organised a social evening for everyone which was well attended and gave us all a chance to sit, chat and discuss our experiences in a more relaxed setting.Our group WhatsApp group has also been useful for recommending helpful pregnancy items, sharing information and for keeping in touch once the little ones started to arrive.
We recently completed the Happy Parents Happy Baby classes and couldn’t recommend them more highly. The course content was excellent, clear, evidence based, and truly empowering. Rather than being told what we “should” do, we gained the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions that feel right for our family.Another wonderful aspect was the community. It was great to meet other expectant parents, especially since we are moving to the area soon. The classes gave us not only valuable insights into parenthood but also the chance to start building connections with local families.Overall, Happy Parents Happy Baby provided both practical tools and a supportive environment that left us feeling prepared and excited for the journey ahead.
We were part of the Guildford class at the Townhouse (Coppa Club) and the venue was great. The content of the course was great, the teachers were so knowledgable and made you feel comfortable to ask any questions that you may have. The classes are quite large so you get to meet lots of different people in different situations and hopefully we’ve made friendships that will last a long time. Being new to the area, HPHB have definitely made us feel as though we have people to lean on as we enter this new chapter of our lives. Can’t fault the whole experience really! We loved it.
My husband and I went on the happy Parents happy baby course August 2025. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The in person classes are really good, the instructors are lovely welcoming and friendly and full of knowledge. The online content prior to the session is so informative I enjoyed watching the videos before class to ensure I was informed before the in person session, which helped with knowing what questions I had. The videos are really easy to follow and it’s great that the content is available for 6 months too… I’m sure we will be dipping in and out of the videos once baby is with us. The live sessions were also fantastic I only connected live once to the hypnobirthing video.. which was really wonderful doing lots of relaxation meditations. Within the video they were able to answer all my questions and were extremely knowledgeable. The other videos I watched afterwards, and found them to be really helpful. Throughout the course I felt so supported and learnt so much. We had a lovely group of parents on the course and have made some connections and friendships already. Highly recommend doing this course you will not be disappointed. Thank you happy parents happy baby.
Perfect blend of information and social side. We went in to the course blind, came out reassured and ready to tackle parenthood. The midwife who led the course, Gemma, was kind, realistic & very knowledgeable and was able to clearly, concisely and thoroughly answer all questions. Most importantly for us, we have had the opportunity to build a local support network with the other local families.
Out HPHB classes equipped us with all of the skills and knowledge to enable us to have a truly positive birth experience - which we did! We are forever grateful to the guidance, wisdom and lessons received from our lead Lizzy, who helped assuage so many concerns we had as first time parents
I was recommend happy parent happy baby, by friends of mine and I’m so glad I decided to take their advice. We went from know nothing about raising a baby to being so much more prepared to look after a small person. Not only that but it is given me a community and hopefully friends that will last throughout my child’s life the course leaders were insightful with their knowledge and didn’t judge anyone’s decisions or questions. The information you learn, especially doing the first aid course is invaluable. I also really enjoyed that it was a lot more casual than a traditional NCT class. Would highly recommend to all.
