What a week...!The Helios Maldives trip was incredible, it is only February and I know this trip will be one of my highlights for 2022. From the beginning Hugo and Georgia are on hand to answer any questions you have, and helped secure my additional days accommodation...who wouldn't want to stay longer in the Maldives?F
I recently got back from my first ever Helios Retreat in Rio, and it was way better than I ever imagined. This wasn’t just a fitness trip, it was an adventure from start to finish. Every single day was filled with amazing things some of which I’ve never done before — from a helicopter ride over Sugarloaf Mountain and Cristo Redentor to unforgettable hikes to motorbikes through the favelas. The workouts were amazing — challenging and fun. The instructors were a huge part of that. Katy was absolutely wonderful - motivating, energetic, and so encouraging that even on the toughest sessions you felt supported. What made the whole experience so special was the group of people I met. I came as a first-timer but left with friends I can’t wait to see again. The community vibe is what made this trip unforgettable - we bonded over workouts, beach days, amazing food, and fun nights out. This was my first Helios Retreat, but it definitely won’t be my last. I’m already counting down to the next one! Endless thank you's to Hugo and the rest of the incredible team.
There is something truly special about the way Helios brings together people from all over the world. Each retreat becomes a meeting point for different stories, backgrounds and intentions, yet the connections always feel effortless and meaningful. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to meet people I would never have crossed paths with otherwise. Before this trip, I was actually feeling anxious about going. Life had been stressful and I questioned whether it was the right time. But once again, Helios reminded me why I keep coming back. Hugo leads these retreats with genuine heart and intention and you can tell Helios isn’t just about travel, it’s about creating space for people to experience something meaningful together.Whether you want to reset your fitness, rest and recharge, gain perspective, step outside your comfort zone, or simply enjoy something different, everyone arrives with their own personal reasons and you always return home with growth and new friendships.The itineraries are always thoughtfully designed and filled with unforgettable moments, but what I appreciate the most is the flexibility within them. There’s no pressure to keep up or participate in everything. You’re free to move at your own pace. If you want to immerse yourself fully, you can. If you need rest or quiet moments, that’s completely supported too.The teams energy, encouragement and genuine care elevate the entire experience. Katy’s yoga flows were a highlight…grounding yet energising and beautifully delivered. Matt captured moments effortlessly while bringing a lightness and positivity to the group and Amanda’s encouragement on the hike to Sugarloaf Mountain made pushing beyond comfort feel achievable and empowering. Each team member contributes in their own way to making the experience feel supportive and uplifting.After four retreats, I can honestly say Helios has a certain magic. It’s not just about the destination of the trip, it’s about the people, the perspective and the growth you take home with you. Grateful for the memories, the friendships and the courage to keep saying yes!

Helios Retreat #4 just finished, third continent — seriously solid experience. Rio/Brazil so worth it and so (positively) different than the usual 'western' vibe. Great balance of training, recovery, and amazing people. Like with all things in life: the more you put in, the more you get out: sunrise and sunset hikes, beach time, local cuisine, helicopter flight to enjoy Rio from above, running at Copacabana and Ipanema, favelas tour and endless photo ops including all the well-known sights, the list just goes on and on. Also, great accommodation at Santa Teresa. Everything ran smoothly. Felt pushed in the right way and came back relaxed and more focused. Peace. ✌️ 🤖
This was a life-changing adventure! If you love traveling and fitness, Helios is for you. Hugo and the locals were such great hosts. I traveled alone from the United States, and felt safe and cared for the entire time! The group was also amazing — so many like-minded individuals from all over the world. Worth every penny!
What a difference a week can make! My first trip with Helios to Morocco is one that will leave a lasting impression - I have returned feeling fitter, sleeping better and with a whole new group of friends! The people, the food (you can never have enough tagine and couscous), the setting (Marrakech is simply beautiful with so much to explore) and of course the awesome trainers! Vitor’s energy is contagious and makes every workout fun.Verity’s expertise is unmatched, her Pilates sessions pushed me completely out of my comfort zone which I could not have been more grateful for. I think I may now have entered my Pilates era. Then part 2; from a casual morning run across the Sahara, sunset camel and quad rides across sand dunes and evenings round a fire under the stars, i could not recommend adding on the extra days more. You 100% won’t regret it. The biggest thank you however goes to the one and only Hugo for bringing us all together. What a trip. Until next time Helios!
Helios Retreats was such a fantastic first experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I was lucky to meet amazing people and form new friendships. The training sessions were incredible challenging yet enjoyable. The shared dinners and free time made it all even more special and created a family atmosphere. A perfect balance of fitness, community, and relaxation. Highly recommend!
