Review Time
Everything is very well organized.
Just a seemless experience, I would like however that the aution time would end and no soft close, but I think that is a feature offered that can be turned off or on. But in any event, everything is well organized, from the registration, the bidding, the close and the follow ups after successful bidding.
I purchased 2 night stands that were advertised as white. There was one picture of the white night stand and the description did not indicate that it was not white. The night stands were wood grain and do not match our decor. I would like a refund and I will retun.
I just love Hibid, I buy pretty often, I’m vintage stereo receiver collector, my experience with Hibid, well to say that I couldn’t be happier, however I’m disappointed in some of the shipping, it’s the packaging that’s a problem the components I buy are 45-50 years old, and most look less than five years old, now they will never be made like that again so when they are properly packed tight in boxes they make it to me good, but when a shipper put one wrap of the large bubble wrap, and then those styrofoam peanuts are put in the box the receiver flops around in the box, that’s a no no! I just had a near mint realistic sta 2090 damaged, the balance potentiometer knob busted the casted shaft was sheered in half, the one piece still in the knob. Now I have to find the same kind of potentiometer and disassemble, and reinstall another one. Pretty sad knowing the receiver stayed mint for 46 years, and the sloppy shippers negligence is at fault, I even explained to the shipper on how to pack it, and he said he shipped many vintage receivers, if he packed them like he packed mine, I’m sure they were damaged during the shipping transport. He charged me $149. And some cents to ship it from Texas to my home in Pa, I hope to hear back from him tmrw, he needs to make this right somehow. kudos to Hibid, but not to some of the packing, and shipping. Sad thing is it could have been avoided.
It was my first online auction, I was not prepared for the "open bid" at the end of a timed bid. Also, tapping the open bid button directed me to a different screen where I had to look for the item I had been bidding on, wasting apparent precious time.
I bought a stove range I picked it up and it was damaged.
The description Stated that there is no damage or I would have not purchased it for the price I paid. I have attached a picture to the auction and waiting for their reply it is very noticeable and I’m not happy at all.
The advertising did not match the actual items. I bought 6 things in total, 1 was not new and the 2 storage items were half the size of what was depicted in the pictures. Utter disappointment and bloody waste of time and money. It reminded me why I stopped buying for 2 years. I wish there was an honest and trustworthy auction house. I gave it a 1, but it is really a 0.
At Ruito auction I bid on item #1945 which was a pair of Levi’s men’s pants. The description that they put in the both the pants said that they were 34 waist and 34 length which is my size so when I picked up the item, I looked at them, but I looked at them for damage because I have received pants there before that had to be instantly returned because they were all torn up the leg so I looked them over for damage and seen that they were fine no damage however when I got them home, I noticed the size the actual size of the pants were 38 waist and 30 length which is ridiculous not even close to what they had written in as a description. I sent the owner an an email letting her know of my displeasure of the wrong size posted. She replied and said that this was a returns auction and all items needed to be checked before leaving the store and that there would be no return on this item. Which is fine I didn’t pay a fortune for them. However, there was no remorse from her about the wrong description in which case I will not be using the ruito auction services anymore.
The auction service is smooth and the live updating is good. Having the items move all the time as they are closing is a pain and can sometimes lead to clicking on the wrong thing. Maybe having items remain static during the auction process, and then removing whole lines of closed bids at once might make it smoother. Or just having a live bid for multiple items being watched instead of everything on an auction all at once.
I would like to see if you could make it possible to not only e mail, but text us when we are out bided. It would make it faster and more convenient to keep up with our items and win more. Thank you
Dennis from Spitler & Johnson Auction & Realty is very professional. I have attended a few of their auctions, and he has also brokered a real estate deal for me. All transactions have been smooth and professional. Will definitely use their services again.
