Review Time
I was under the impression I was purchasing a drawing of my soul mate for 1.00 usd. On the check out page I received a discount. So the total listed .50 cents usd. Upon checking my bank account I noticed they charged .50 multiple times. So I contacted cs and asked why multiple charges. I received a response in less than a sec, stating irrelevant info about the first charge may have declined & and an auto retry. Note all the charges were in the same instance, not even a second apart. I reply i didn't ask you to cancel the subscription that I never applied for or a refund that they said i was not eligible.I only asked why i was charged so many times. No response for a few minutes. After contacting my bank and stating my concerns. I receive another email saying cancelation and refund complete.... like wtf! FYI there isn't a sign up prompt, no account or password made, no linking to Gmail. They don't even ask your name . After answering a few details of dating preferences and giving your email to receive drawing , top right you have a profile saying signed in as : (your email).
Paid a small trial fee on for a soulmate sketch. Thought it was one-time. Wasn’t clearly told about the recurring $29.99/month charge.
Contacted support on March 1, 2026 — no reply yet. Feels like a classic bait-and-switch. Requesting full refund of all charges.
Many similar reviews here, so probably not an isolated case.

I recently left a bad review about hint.app because I paid 50p for a service but noticed that a further £29.99 had been removed from my account for a subscription I had not agreed to. I referred to hint.app as scammers, for which I now must apologise. Following my bad review, hint.app reached out to me and I am really pleased to have now received back a full refund. Obviously, any company scamming would not refund your amount and I am very happy to rectify my mistake. Thank you hint.app.
The Hint.app is a Bait and switch scam. I tried the app on Feb 17, 2026 for a "trial" basis and paid $0.50 and I received a drawing. They do try and temp you for other items at additional charges, however, I cancelled the app the same day Feb 17, 2026. However, yesterday Feb 24th I was still charged $29.99 for the subscription even though I had cancelled on Feb 17th! I contacted Hint Customer Service, explained I had cancelled the app same day I tried the trial service for $0.50 and I was still charged $29.99. David replied he guaranteed my cancellation but apparently when they sent the "Welcome" email (after I had cancelled) it apparently states it doesn't matter if you only paid $0.50 for trial, they are still going to charge you $29.99! This a Bait and switch scam, theft by deceipt! Please don't fall for this fraud scam!
I NEVER subscribed to whatever this is and each month $44.99 has been coming out of my account. I had no idea this was going on until I was looking through my PayPal history and ongoing payments. I am not happy at all considering I don’t even know what any of this is about except for what I’ve read off of here from other reviews. I would like to warn people that this is a scam and if you notice hint.app on your PayPal or even your bank statements, look into it to see how much money they have been scamming from you. I am hoping to get my money back and I will let you know if I do if I do I will change my review.
I cancelled my subscription but now I’m being charged can you please refund me immediately. I will accept on this occasion you may have made a mistake and if I receive a swift refund within 24 hours that will be sufficient evidence it was a mistake and I will thank you in advance for rectifying your mistake . However if no refund by end of of 25th February 2026 has been placed back into my vanity account I will use the power of my Facebook account of nearly 5 thousand followers to show screen shots and evidence of my cancelled subscription which hasn’t been honoured .. let’s hope we don’t go down that road . I was charged £29.99 for a subscription I wasn’t told I subscribed to. I have asked for a full refund. I’ll update to advise if I get it as I see others have clearly had the same thing happen to them:

Without emailing with my reference, as advised below, they have already responded to my original email to state that I will get a refund. This is good. Let’s see if I actually get the refund.
It’s a shame about this subscription thing because it was something fun to do and we all were willing to pay for the picture. They should’ve made the subscription service very clear and given an option to opt in. I genuinely didn’t see it anywhere when I paid for the picture so I do feel scammed but their quick responses tell me they are not scamming and are trying to rectify it. I’ll change my review to a neutral 3 stars once I get the money back.
However, if this keeps happening to more people after this, people should stop using their services.
If I could give no stars I would. Signed up to a soulmate sketch for £1 and a week later they took a further payment of £29.99 unauthorised from my bank account via PayPal for nothing and leaving me in difficulties. At no point did I agree to such a subscription and now Hint is refusing via PayPal to provide my money back. This has been an awful experience.
Scamer, they literally said 1 time purchase for 0.5 dollar , i buy it, then a few day later it charged me 30 dollars for no reason, i checked the app and i have no idea when it subscribed me without me even knowing. Then i asked for the refund and it's been a week. In conclusion , this app is a scam
It was a scam app...I paid for that sketch and I don't use your any other services and you deducted my card for 15,000...this app was a deceiver...that sketch was also according to my
