Poor Customer Services and Empathy from this company! I purchased a theme in good will from this company on the understanding that Stripe could be connected directly to the website for my client, after building the website and then getting to the stage of adding the Stripe account I was faced with the fact that it could only be done through Woo Commerce and not direct like a good majority of themes do, I thought this was common practice .. when I spoke to them to advise that i didnt want Woo Comerce as a third party payment system as this was not the request of the client they then dragged out the replies getting back to me , when I asked for a refund they said because it was over 30 days I wasnt eligble for a refund , I questioned this due to being miss sold a theme , where they kept dragging out their replies , so eventually they then said it had stretch 52 days since purchase so they were adament they were not going to refund .. I tried to explain that I would never have a need for a theme or the license key , which they could so easily sell onto someone else, and that as a gesture of good will would they refund me as I had purchased another theme that was more sufficiant in doing the job i wanted .. I would not recomend this company to anyone off the experience they have given me , poor customer services, in fact there was none, no understanding of my position, no empathy of providing a good will gesture of the refund .. steer clear of Hivepress and look elsewhere for a more professional Wordpress Theme Provider
HivePress is an absolute game-changer! Their templates have not only saved me thousands of dollars in development costs but also countless hours of manual work. The setup process is incredibly straightforward – just plug it in, make a few customizations, and voilà, you have a fully functional SaaS website in no time. It’s remarkable how quickly you can go from concept to launch with minimal effort. HivePress truly makes the entire process seamless and stress-free. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to build a professional site without the hassle!

Hive Press and its theme Rental Hive is suited to coders and to make even simple changes to their templates this requires either JS or php. So firstly, if you aren't a coder and require changes (which you will no doubt) you will be spending a lot of money on customisations done by coders. Secondly, I'm reading here great customer support is the standard. One can only guess that perhaps HivePress staff are writing these reviews. After over a decade of working with WP and WooComm sites and themes, hands down HivePress has the worst, rudest customer support I have ever encountered having worked with numerous providers and themes. Other issues are their Rental Hive theme ($98 USD by the time you pay VAT) has quite serious limitations to what you can and can't do re modifications and my Full Stack programmer informs me that HivePress is seriously hard coded which creates quite a few issues - he has struggled to make even simple changes and in other cases we gave up. The HivePress Plugin itself piggy backs other plugins but they use their own templates over e.g. Woocomm templates (taking over listing and purchases which screws up the orders page for the WooCommerce plugin). Even installing a well developed premium currency switcher was a nightmare where we got jack all support from the tech guy on the forum (in fact his responses were evasive and outright rude) and in the end the currency switcher support techs stepped up to the mark and custom coded it to be compatible to the theme. This sort of stuff (plugins that work on most other themes bugging out on HivePress) is apparently pretty standard. Basically though Hive Press makes things tough and unless you are a skilled coder give it a very wide miss. As an update.... without formally requesting a refund they refunded me (great for refunds if nothing else) and crippled the parent theme. Given I hadn't formally requested a refund this raises serious questions as to their business practices. So after fixing the issues and spending over a hundred hours developing Rental Hive they used a backdoor in an attempt to cripple my site (but failed due to a child theme) and all the required files, folders and templates are still on my server so we now need to unbreak their broken theme to manually add upgrades and while we are at it we will make improvements to their plugin which they themselves should have done years ago . As for their comment below of having a forum I highly recommend you read their responses where over about 50% of which is we can't help, we recommend you hire a coder ..... And in many other cases you will saying them yes we should implement that or plan to but they never have. Definitely look closely at Hive Press and Rental Hive (especially their forum to see how may people run into issues which require custom coding) before using either the plugin (HivePress) or theme (Rental Hive) do some research on rental themes because there is far better than Rental Hive on the market which are vastly more user friendly for people who are used to working with WordPress but aren't code geeks.

I spent two years working on building a platform for freelancers, I haven't had much success until I bought ExpertHive. Whenever I encountered challenges with the theme, I had the lead developer assist me throughout the entire process with no hassle. Really great experience, I'd recommend them over and over again

I tried a few directory themes and HivePress was the easiest of them. Their online community has answers to many questions I had and the team is very responsive. Ihor always answered me promptly and like a regular human being, not someone who was bothering him. I'd recommend Hive Press and ListingHive if you're looking to make a directory site.
