After having a bad online experience with H&R Block software, I decided to got to Jackson Hewitt at Walmart. The experience was very good, the cost was not. I hope H&R Block fixes their online software for a better experience. I had done H&R for last three years with no problem, but this year couldn't find a TRS form and had problems finding the correct 1099 for normal distribution.
I just want to give a huge thank you to Sarah from the Banksville road location who called me after I went to the Moon location in Walmart and did not have a positive experience. Sarah called me and spent time on the phone and corrected my return and I have beyond happy. Highly recommend her and will return next year.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. I went in there spent 4 hours having my 1099 taxes filed from 20-24 she completely screwed my taxes up, didn’t tell me that someone had illegally filed taxes in my name in 2021 for a previous year and put all the wrong information in for the year 2020 and no telling what other years after. I am seeking counsel on this matter with the irs and with their corporate. The fact thst I was done wrong when I came to someone I trusted to do my taxes right. There’s no telling how many other people this has been done to.

The representative at the office was untrustworthy, didn't return calls, and her supervisor was unhelpful. She boasted about her expertise and customer service, yet my tax return was filed two months late. She lied about filing an extension, ignored my calls, and I only got my return completed after filing a complaint with corporate. Now, I've received a notice from the IRS about owing more due to late filing. Proceed with caution if you choose this office.
My first experience was also my last. I went in to resolve a state tax issue, and it wasn't even submitted after being told everything was set. I don't believe the form was even completed. The representative altered my federal form incorrectly, and after revisiting to fix it, I was again assured we were good. A month later, I received another letter from the state saying they were still waiting for my tax return. When I called, they told me I needed to submit it myself, although I thought they had filed it electronically. To top it off, I received a letter from the IRS questioning the legitimacy of my return. What should have been a simple issue turned into a stressful ordeal.
