Review Time
Following extensive renovation to out home we were looking to replace our alarm system and make an addition of CCTV. I'm not generally one for paying attention to FB advertisements, but Homecctv kept cropping up and the information they shared and reviews led me to contact them to discuss our needs. Communication was very efficient and within a few days we were visited by Mike, the surveyor, who spent a couple of hours one evening talking through our needs.He had an extensive knowledge of both the CCTV and alarm equipment, which he had with him on his visit, so he was able to give us a full demonstration. The equipment is extremely high quality and we were impressed with the standard of quality of the CCTV footage (both day and night).There was absolutely no pressure or sales waffle to try and get us to commit to anything that evening, but we were given a reasonable quote for both systems which wasn't as expensive as I expected, so we decided to pay the deposit that evening and made arrangements for installation a couple of weeks later. We were given a modest discount for buying both systems together and were also only charged for 3 of the 4 cameras we decided to have installed. In addition to the standard package, we also added additional door sensors, a smoke/carbon monoxide detector and upgraded one of the PIR sensors to include a camera which would photograph any potential intruder.Joel, the installer, arrived promptly this morning to install first the CCTV, and then the alarm. The whole installation process took about 4 hours and he worked non stop with no mess created at all. After installation he took the time to first, explain how to use the main CCTV control box, which is connected to the TV in the lounge. We didn't have a spare HDMI slot in the TV, so he provided us with a top of the range HDMI splitter to make viewing on the TV easier. Once he had demonstrated the control box, he then helped to install the apps on our smart devices, one for each system. The CCTV app is excellent and easy to negotiate, and sends an instant notification of any movement at the address as well as providing live feed and the ability to review stored footage which highlights when movement is detected so you don't have to sit searching through hours of footage if something has happened. You can also download the footage from the app to your phone, or on the control box to a memory stick via USB slot - handy if footage is needed by the police.The app for the alarm also offers notifications of movement and alarm activation instantly. The alarm can be set by a control fob supplied or via the app - one of the things we also liked was the additional benefit of a panic alarm which can be used on the app anywhere away from home - so if the kids are out and activate the panic button we can see instantly on google maps where they are.I cant recommend Homecctv enough, the whole process from first contact to installation has been very efficient. I'm not one for using Facebook to buy anything but as stated in a previous comment HomeCCTV kept cropping up and the information they shared and reviews led me to contact them to discuss our needs. The surveyor came and advised us of what equipment we needed and gave us a quote, which was very reasonable. I then enquired about updating our alarm system. This was also very reasonable. He also advised that if we opted for both we would get a discounted deal, which was a bonus. The equipment is extremely high quality and we were impressed with the standard of quality of the CCTV footage (both day and night). We opted for the night vision cameras - these cameras are permanently lit during darkness and the quality of the images are excellent. There is no need for an additional light in the rear garden as the camera’s light is bright enough.The alarm can be set by a control fob supplied or via the app on a mobile device - I really liked the panic alarm included on the control panel, which alerts other users if this is activated and locations can be identified via google maps.I haven’t experienced after sales yet but according to other reviews on other sites, this is second to none.Overall I am extremely pleased with HomeCCTV and the quality of both products.
If you want home cctv please use this company.From the initial quote to the installation they couldn't have been more helpful.Their equipment is of the highest standard and 8K picture quality is a game changer!Well done to this excellent company.
My knowledge of the cost of cctv is quite limited and contacted homecctv ltd as a novice in this field. Kevin who visited me was an elegant, smartly dressed chap. I had a budget on mind and to my shock I was way off the mark to what I wanted to pay. I just wish he could have shown me the product, give me information on what you do and really sell it me. I know you base your reputation on here and it looks well with the 5 star reviews and to be honest I didn’t even look at the reviews before the visit. Business can go through rocky times so I do give the benefit of the doubt and not base everything on reviews. Unfortunately I’m still at the same stage, looking for the right salesman to give me a run down on the product. I’m hard working, very careful with the money I earn and spend but show me the product, make an effort giving me the information and we might have got somewhere. To others on hear reading this, you will need over a £1000 to get started and probably a lot more to get a decent package.This is just an honest review of my experience and it’s a neutral review from myself. I’m sure the products you sell are brilliant and you are successful in what you do but I will keep looking, speak to different salesmen, and be 100 percent sure before I make a purchase. From the start when Kevin came to give me a quote. To the installation day this company deserves nothing less than 5 stars and if I could I would give them more. 100% professional all the way through even to the present day the after care service is second to none. If you ring up with an issue they always call you back the same day and get the issue sorted in a number of minutes. These really are the best cctv and alarm company out there.
This is the 2nd property we've used Home CCTV for. This time 4 cameras and their alarm system. The initial visit to survey our property and select the systems to meet our needs was great. We were given all the information and recommendations and allowed to decide for ourselves what we wanted. A date for installation was booked in at the first visit too. The surveyor was thorough and took notes and make a video for the installer so there were no errors or queries on installation day. As a previous customer we knew what to expect and on installation day, again it was faultless. Phone ahead to ask directions intonour new build development which isn't yet on Google maps, arrived on time and completed a fantastic job on camera installation and also alarm. We would not hesitate recommending this company, they do what they say on the tin! After sales is 5* we had a couple of queries which were answered and resolved immediately. - Thanks Home CCTV & your team!
We had cameras fitted a while ago and the quality and service is second to none. The team helped us when we got new phones to connect and even when the cat pulled a wire out accidentally. Due to an issue recently with a neighbour’s son bullying and harassment we have had to get another camera and they managed to sort very quickly. Would definitely recommend with no hesitation:)
