The food was quite disappointing, clearly not up to par this visit. The starters, parsnip soup, were served lukewarm with small portions and no bread accompanying them. For the mains, the steak and fries were underwhelming; the steak was tiny and not memorable, while the chips came in a small, warm basket. The turkey dinner was particularly poor, featuring what looked like preformed turkey drenched in thick gravy, and the dish was served cold along with the plates. The vegetables were overcooked to the point of being unrecognizable, and the roast potatoes were reheated and hard. This dish was ultimately returned. The sea bass was perhaps the worst I've encountered. Overall, it was not a good experience considering the price, with subpar food, presentation, and service. The waiter was genuinely apologetic, and while the second turkey order was slightly better, it still reflected poor choices on our end. We've dined here before and were satisfied, but this time was not the same.
Food very poor. Obviously was off dayStarters, parsnip soup....lukewarm and small portions, not on a plate, no bread.Mains. Steak and fries, steak so small, nothing to write home about. Chips, a small little basket of them, warm.Main, turkey dinner, very poor, only preformed looking turkey with thick gravy over it. Again was not warm, plates all cold. Vegetables; unrecognisable over cooked to burnt. Roast potatoes, warmed up from whenever. Like little bricks. This dish was sent back. Sea bass, probably worst ive had. Overall all not good and for what they charged, very poor food, presentation and service. Waiter was very apologetic. Second turkey order was more edible, but still they were all very poor choices on our part.Weve eaten there before and at that time was pleased.

Just trying to speak to someone is a night mare , I have tried 2 of thier hotels been on hold for a long time told by automated system that eryone is to busy to answer and I cant even get to speak to reception. I then tried there team contact line which was even worse . I understand that the interenet is the way to go but to be honest if you cant be bothered to answer the phone then the rest of your servcie must be equally bad. I have stayed with them before and I do not normally write bad reviews but the fact that you are uncontactable is very very frustrating. I know its a radical concept but Come on Guys get someone to actually answer the phones you may even get more business !!
useless website. useless phone system. In fact that was the problem. Wanted to find out if the Cambridge site had on site parking. When eventually I found parking in the FAQs, just got a lazy "talk to the hotel itself" (the website is generic and so has little information for individual sites). So I rang the hotel on the number given. A quick bit of telephone pinball got me to something like "press 4 for location information about directions/parking" and when I pressed 4, I hear "if you would like parking information please visit our website on ...". So bounced from website to phone to website with no solution. Yes, of course I could "press 3 for reception" and ask them but why am I working so hard to get a simple piece of information every person who uses a car must want to know? Isn't that what the "F" in FAQ is all about? Decided not to bother with a room at this hotel.
Hotel Du Vin Henley on thames has sprung back to its original superb level after a few years of lower standards.Whether it’s a change in management or ownership the staff are excellent, the refurbished rooms back to very high levels of comfort and functionality.Happy to highly recommend this revamped hotel for a stay in Henley
Hotel du Vin - Clifton Bristol.Spent our anniversary at this hotel. All staff we encountered deserve a 5 star award.Dining room overlooking the bridge, stunning. Our very kind waitress even found the story of the giant who created the gorge and after who you have named the restaurant.Great breakfast and dinner. We will return and thanks to the manager of this hotel for creating such a great experience.
