I had a new composite door fitted in November 2022 and there has been rain coming in through the letterbox. I decided to contact Hurst Doors. The customer service assistant was extremely unhelpful. I was hoping that she would have helped me especially as she was the customer service assistant. As a result I cannot and I will not recommend Hurst Doors. I will never buy a Hurst Door again.
I had a composite door installed, and find that when the sun shines on it, it bends to extent that I am unable to lock the front door. I have gone via my installer and supplier and followed the complaints procedure to get this rectified and still Hurst's keep asking for photos and measurements, all of which show that the door is bending and has more then a 3-5mm gap, but still they delay and delay etc. I tried calling the company directly and the lady said that they don't deal with the public directly. The customer service has been shocking, the design of the door is shocking, did they not consider the sun shining on an external door and the effect of heat on it??? Very poor design. AVOID this company at all costs.Further update, Hursts have changed the door and applied heat reflective coating to lessen the effects of direct heat. Owing to the colder weather I will only know next year (2024) how effective this is.
I have bought one of their composite door and the door arrived in two different shade of white, plus the glasses have been assembled on the wrong side. Multiple call to them and to the fitter for over an year but nothing happened, they just take your money but not caring of the warranty at all, avoid them tbf.
