Fantastic and the best car rental company I’ve ever used!
Needed to amend the booking in the middle of the night as our flight was delayed and no shuttle bus to the hotel was available.
My wife downloaded the app, was able to add herself to the insurance policy and activate the booking at 2am in the morning within 5 minutes.
Was kept up to date of all parking charges and tolls through the app. A temporary receipt is displayed which was exactly what they charged me afterwards with no discrepancies.
So easy to use and I would t think of using any other HYRE company when I return to Norway next year.

It was the chiepest option and this is great. Also they are only who accepting debitcard. Another thing that on rented car was specified damage - 4cm thin scratch on frontal bumper. Menwhile car itself was rusty all around)))) LOL. But the worst thing is tires. Winter, norway, snow and ice on road. 11y.o. nankang lamel tires, which obviously are in use all year around on wheels and the rubber already like plastic! I must drive 40-50 km/h on these tires to avoid accidents, and still got few dangerous accidental drifts. NOT SAFE!!! Not possible to left car on another place.

Everything was user-friendly: "rent-a-car-for-dummies". Updated maps with location of each car, availability and any and all information you should need.I usually don't drive automatic and was wondering if getting in to the car without keys would be a problem- it was not. The car was clean, good tires, and even taking photos and uploading them went perfectly smooth. All in all 5 out of 5, will definately use HYRE again.
Very fun experience!Once I got into the van, it took me about 15 minutes to figure out where the handbrake and the windshield wipers were. Being a bit old school, driving such an ultra-modern vehicle made me feel… old 😄Jokes aside, excellent service and actually very easy to use. The app guides you step by step through both pickup and return of the vehicle, making the whole process smooth and stress-free.I hope I was a good customer — clean, tidy, and respectful.Thank you! 100% satisfied, I will definitely return.
It should be clear this is only for Norwegians with credit in Norway. An EU driving license is not enough. Complete waste of time. It's your choice to perform the credit check- I am not disputing that. BUT you should make it very clear that you will do this and let customers decide if we want to do business with you rather than wasting our time trying to create an account.
It requires a credit check before approving users. If you have recently moved to Norway, this process will simply fail because you do not yet have a Norwegian credit history. As a result, as a new resident, you are unable to use the service even if you have a decent stable income or a good credit record from another country. Their claim of 3 months payslips will also be invalid if you just moved in. This requirement makes the platform inaccessible for people who have just relocated to Norway.Many other car-sharing or rental companies instead use a credit card as a guarantee or temporarily block a deposit until the car is returned. This approach allows new residents to use the service without relying on a local credit history.It is also not clearly stated on the homepage that a credit check is required. The site mainly encourages you to download the app and start using the service. The credit check requirement is only mentioned in the fine print (T&C or FAQs) or becomes apparent after you begin the signup process in the app
