Shocking company with absolutly no morals, warranties are worthless and have been for years, the previous owner has since opened a new comapny, if you are looking for good quality windows and doors, anyone associated with ideal is exactly who to avoid.

Ideal windows doors and conservatories built my sunroom 5 years ago with apparently a 10 year warranty. My roof started to leak in November they sent a couple of workers to look at it, they said I had to wait untill it was a dry day to fix it.I never heard from them again. I have tried to call and email them .I went up to there showroom and was told by another company next door to them that ideal have went bust . (Johnathan Purdie the owner )has no morals and has already started a new business according to company house.
We needed to replace our 7 windows and 2 doors and spoke to 3 companies in Midlothian .We chose to go with Ideal and what a great choice that was. We met Stewart at their showroom and he gave us loads of clear , useful information to allow us to make our decision. Johnny the surveyor then called in to accurately measure up and a few weeks later at an agreed date , Ian and Jack from their installation team carried out the work expertly and professionally and we are delighted with the job they have done. All our old windows and doors were taken away and the site tidied up. Thank you to all the team at Ideal and I would definitely recommend Ideal to anyone looking to get work done.
Contradictory info on Companies House site as to whether this company exists or not.Ideal has been summoned three times to appear in a breach of contract claim but has not appeared.Sub contractors basebuilders did a good job but owner and brickies’ boss were aggressive and insolent.Former demanded £400+ in hand and told me to read the contract. This was not the only co to demand payment in cash.My claim is based on several other breaches of contract by Ideal. It disliked putting replies to questions/queries on paper. And accounting dept?Invoices vague and indecipherable. The joiners/ installers of conservatory excellent as was painter, but electrician-£500,please.All the problems stemmed from an inadequate survey of kitchen and site.I dont think they had read their own contract!
We had a new Rockdoor installed yesterday by Ian and David from Ideal Windows. What a great job they did, we are absolutely delighted with the door. From Stewart who took our order through to delivery we cannot fault Ideal Windows they were a company we would happily use again.
