When I came to Finland in 2002 it was hard to get excellent service in English in many places of business or in the public sector. I inherited IF contract from my parents, since it was easier to bundle our policies together and get some benefits from that. In the course of 20 years I noticed how excellent IF's service in English had become. I always had very positive and clear interactions with the staff. Irrespective of the claims' decision in my cases, what I can surely say is that the company's decision to invest in providing excellent service for the English speakers in Finland is a sign of being the best at what they do. IF always asks in their surveys, "how can we improve, because we want to be the best, to be the industry leader...or something like that". Well, it turns out IF management not only pays attention to these reviews, but also acts of them. It is even more commendable, since we all understand that English speakers in Finland is not a very significant market share for any company. Coming from the business background myself, I know that this is exactly what market leaders do, they set the standards.
