I had a landlord insurance that I canceled. As foreigner I did just the normal stuff to cancel the insurance - send an email etc. During a business trip in Europe I got an sms from an incasso credit agency that I have depts. I was shocked - after a call: if insurance was not cancelled, but I still own if 30 euros. Paid the invoice, but now if wants more - after having spent more than 30 euros to call them. To show that we foreigners in finland are also honest I decided to pay! But I recommend the "green coloured insurance" if you come new to Finland. Sadly I also let myself fall into the "blue" marketing.... was a mistake... take the green insurance :)Edit after the feedback from if below: look, I spent already hours with your customer service on the phone, email, etc. It is a simple waste of time. Already 2 years ago a claim was declined which should be normally partially covered. I did not follow this also up, as I had not time. But to still squeeze all the money out of a customer who simple quits an insurance is ridiculous.I was with Tapiola "green one" :) (and despite they don't have all in English) for 15 years and I can advice this one. Really no problems at all. Sadly they did not have this product.
A insurance company's worth is judged on how they perform when you make a claim for a legitimate reason. When I needed them, they were found wanting in many areas of the service I pay them to provide to me. Now my confidence and trust in IF is broken. Many years with them and on the first time I claimed, they let me down. Their adverts are back to front, IF, don't help a "paljon", Jesus tape does more"
