The advisor guided me through the process, and I was satisfied with the quote.
It was very frustrating though to receive an email a few days later saying that after a review, the policy would have to increase by £99.
Very annoyed by this as it was after my starting date, so I had little option.
Not happy.

Admiral sent me an email asking me to write this review, but none of the links worked. And that just about sums up my experience. I insure my dog with Admiral. First of all, the good stuff – making a claim was reasonably straightforward and it didn’t take too long to get the money to cover it. But, when my dog was diagnosed with a fairly serious condition, I needed to ask a question about the cover. I tried to do this using chat online but they told me I had to email it. I sent the email and it then took them over six weeks (yes, six weeks) to reply. When they finally did, they didn’t even acknowledge that it had taken them six weeks to reply in their response. And when I replied to them to point this out, they didn’t bother replying (although maybe I’ll get a response in another six months or so). All in all, not particularly impressive.

So easy, it was so difficult contacting my previous insurer via their own system, no responses to emails I sent after having multiple emails about automatic renewal, but no customer service direct. And it's cheaper so instead of paying monthly, I paid the full premium. (I'm 75, so my tech ability is limited)

Very poor communication from Admiral.
I made a claim as my car was hit by another car while mine was legally parked (obvious no fault), Admiral pressured me to use a credit company (auxillis) instead of them, which makes absolute no sense when I pay them monthly. They deemed my car a total loss based on pictures (my car had a dent and was scratched, nothing major), I had to dispute and got a quote from a garage proving that it was worth repairing. They accepted it by communicating directly to the garage. I never had any sort of communication from their side apart from calls to convince me to go with auxillis. I had to call admiral to confirm that they were accepting to pay the repair. I've been trying to contact admiral law to get support recovering my excess fee from the third party insurer and they just don't reply.
Also have pet insurance with admiral which renewed automatically, I had no reminder regarding the renewal and suddenly notice that the premium went up on my bank statement, never received an email or any sort of documentation regarding this. Will definitely change insurance both for car and pets as soon as the car claim is completed.

I have been with Admiral for a number of years - but they renewal was hard work, and had to be referred to underwriter with the promise of a call back - which never came, leaving me in-insured by not keeping your word. Went to a competitor - no problem questions answered there & then, now a loyal customer of Ageas. The disappointing thing is I have two motorbikes two land rovers now not insured by Admiral. Sorry but you dropped the ball, left me uninsured and didn’t do what you said you would do.
Your renewal price was £250 higher than your price comparison, you then asked all sorts of judgey questions about solar ?

I rang up for a quote as my daughter had just passed her test that day. I spoke to Adam who was very helpful in finding the cheapest way to get her insurance. I couldn't make the decision straight away so we agreed that he would call back at a certain time which he did. We ended up adding her to a multicar policy we had, but the insurance was still in her name and meant that she could start accumulating her own no claims. Very pleased with all Adams help and the policy that we ended up getting.

My Premium was for Motor Insurance was doubled. I have never made a clain in 40 Years + Driving !!!

Went online and have the same if not better policy, for half the price again!

All Insurance Companies are just rip off Merchants IMHO. Never get ill as I have been for the last two years. The Sharks will take you alive .. to fatten their bonuses. Avoid Admiral .... and by the way you will only get to speak to someone in New Delhi ... and that was hard to do to get around the Admirals Bot!

I was unlucky enough to be involved in a crash recently, my first in 14 years of driving and I was really worried about dealing with my insurance but Admiral were amazing. Both of the agents I spoke with were friendly and put me at ease. Email communications were really easy too.

They explained the process fully and took details of the accident. They engaged with my chosen garage directly and approved the repairs really quickly.

There was no trying to get out of paying, no dragging their feet, no blockers or delay tactics, just a quick resolution that was painless to achieve.

I would happily use Admiral again for all of my insurance needs.

I recently switched to Admiral after being with my previous insurer for many years. I was initially sceptical because the quote was very competitive, but after checking the cover carefully, everything matched my needs.

The customer service was excellent — clear, helpful, and professional throughout. Very pleased with the overall experience.

Badly handled complaint following the provision of incorrect information. Now all handled in India. No way of speaking with customer service in the UK. Two spam call following my calls using information that could only have come from inside Admiral. Terrible service. Will be looking as a new provider at renewal.
