Great company, run by human beings

Strange how almost every review is either five star or 1 star. I considered making mine a four star review, then realised that I couldn't really fault the company, or – more to the point – their product. I have been ordering their food for my dogs for the last six or seven years, and have had no serious cause for complaint. There have been occasional glitches, but they always respond to emails - that is my experience at least - and make good on commitments.Their website has been a little confusing recently during a period when they have been changing some of their manufacturing and packaging options. The food, however, remains consistently good, and the dog has had no problem with it.Delivery has always been via DPD, who are exceptionally reliable in my area – Brighton. It might be that living not that far from where the company is based has meant that I have not struggled with any delivery issues. I can’t speak for those who live further afield.One minor niggle: the new film packaging means that I need a container so as to be able to decant portions out of the freezer and into the fridge. The container that Jack Wolf themselves sell is over-large for 500 gram portions. I have found an alternative on the net which fits much better. It’s worth shopping around.And to those who complain that the food is too minced up: I give my dog a raw chicken wing every other day so that he has something to get his teeth into.

I was using your food for my Rhodesian…

I was using your food for my Rhodesian ridgeback,up to about 2 months ago , I was told it’s changed owners , the duck is full of water and slimy, my dog won’t eat it anymore ,shame she used to love it

Switched from Butternut Box

Switched from Butternut Box. Dogs had lost weight and had intermittent upset tummies. Now dogs are doing really well. Put on weight and no more upsets. Also, much prefer the transparency on price unlike Butternut box.

Have been using this company for a few years never an issue my dog absolutely loves the food people always comment on his lovely shiney soft coat 😊

I would have been a new customer if…

I would have been a new customer if they had replied to my email sent over two weeks ago. I also noticed they don’t say anything to other customers who have had a bad experience with them. So I will avoid this company. Thanks

Quick service

Quick service. Recommended by my sister. I didn’t get a discount on my first order and do not know why but am pleased with the product and the way it was packed. I will buy again. One downfall and it isn’t the company’s fault but DPD literally dumped the box on my step without knocking or ringing my doorbell ( I have footage). It was 25C and the bag was clearly marked that it contained frozen items. The DPD tracker said left on porch - I have no porch. Maybe a different carrier service please.

Good food but expensive and defrosted

Good food but expensive and often delivered partially thawed or defrosted.We order a periodic (monthly usually) deliveries in the more expensive sustainable wool and compostable packaging but 2 out of the last 3 times despite being delivered before midday, one delivery had started to get soft and some bags had defrosted, and on another delivery, they were all defrosted - not good for refrezing of a frozen food service. more should be done to insulate as clearly the wool isnt good enough.I am glad they offer the more sustainable packaging as the polystyrene packaging was terrible to dispose of and not good for the environment because no where recycles it. The tubs also didnt fit well in the freezer due to their shape - the bags are much betterThey also dont seem to plan for weekends when shipping, so one end of the month if it lands on a weekend or bank holiday, we can be without dog food for a few days - not great planning for a subscription service.

Wow told I would get 25% discount on 2 orders . Second order would not honour, poor customer service via email only .. I have fed raw for 8 years and order around 800kg a year. Opportunity LOST, good luck with your business lots of competition with same product but better service….

Poor customer service and no loyalty…

Poor customer service and no loyalty from this company whatsoever. No phone number to ring for nutritional advice and they will not speak to any individual. Ask for emails. Not good when you need to discuss your animals health issues.Customer for 5 yrs but no more. Check them out before you buy.

I recently placed an order that the provider cancelled two days later. They cancelled as I used a promo code that my parents used previously. My dog is going run out of food. I’m so annoyed as loyalty means nothing. If the promo code is only valid to one per house then they should have a restriction on the website or a warning. I have emailed a complaint and await the response. They say they care about our dogs health but don’t care my dog will be restricted due to allergies. I’m furious. I will edit this post when I get a response. I guess I’m forced to look at other dog food providers in the meantime. I could cry as this is so stressful.
