Review Time
As others have already stated, the once-great Jamendo has sunk to the level of dishonesty and greed, and are no longer living up to their original standards of operation. No one is getting paid and they aren't responding to reasonable questions. Stay clear of this scam.Edit on February 16, 2026Jamendo responded on December 17, 2025 (seen below) asking for further information. I responded immediately, and as of now, two months later, I have yet to hear any further response. I have deleted all of my music from the platform.
For context, I've been using Jamendo for years. 2025 has been completely unacceptable. It's been several months since requesting my royalties. I'm joining the, presumably, hundreds of other artists under the same cycle of short emails amounting to "not knowing" when payment will be made.I even received an email saying it was due to a "system migration"? Even though other artists are being paid after leaving bad reviews? It's an absolute shambles and quite clearly turned into a system of profiting off of the backs of unsuspecting musicians.I'm now considering legal action and have told the company to deposit my withdrawal, as they had done for years prior, by the end of the window in which they claim they'll pay you within - If not, I'll begin looking for legal routes, because it's beyond a joke not just for me but so many others as well.
I have been releasing my music through Jamendo for several years and used to trust this platform, but based on my recent experience, I can no longer recommend it. For many months I have not received clear, transparent reports for my sales on Jamendo and Adobe Stock, while at the same time clients contact me saying they bought a license and ask me to remove copyright claims from their YouTube videos, yet these sales never appear in my dashboard and I never receive the royalties.Jamendo promised a new, “transparent” reporting system almost a year ago, but nothing has really changed. Old reporting periods are partially missing, the new reports for 2025 look incomplete compared to 2024, and there is still no way to properly track all sales and payouts. I continue to see activity around my tracks, but I cannot verify where the money goes or how much is actually owed to me.I have contacted Jamendo support many times, attaching screenshots and explaining the situation in detail, and even wrote directly to individual staff members, but either I get no response at all or I receive vague replies with no real solution or concrete timeline. At this point, it feels like Jamendo is happy to keep licensing my music while leaving authors without information or payment, which is completely unacceptable for a licensing platform. What makes this worse is that I know I am not the only artist in this situation — several of my colleagues report the same issues with missing reports, delayed or absent payments, and ignored tickets. In my opinion, this no longer looks like an isolated technical problem, but like a systematic way of treating contributors. Because of this, I strongly advise other independent artists and businesses to think twice before relying on Jamendo for licensing or royalty management.
EDIT: I just received my payment and got some insight in why this could happen. This is why I adjusted my review. I'm still a bit disappointed that it took so long, but I'm still happy, that I got it now.____Original review:I'm somewhat torn here. I've always happily used Jamendo as an artist before and they were mostly paying royalties on time. There was the occasional delay of payment but it had never been more than a month too late. Now however I'm still waiting for my payment which I requested nearly 5 months ago. If you contact customer support you always get the same answer of the issue being escalated, but nothing happens. It's a shame, as I really enjoyed using the platform in the past. My profile "Square a Saw" has over 16 million plays there, and I'm actually thinking of removing my whole song catalogue from the platform if this issue persists. At the current moment I can't recommend uploading your music to Jamendo, as this issue seems to persist and it is not guaranteed that you will get your money.
Update....Five months later and I have finally been paid!! Wasted a lot of time and energy chasing for payment. Royalties they have collected in the revenue/earnings received - for me the latest showing was Dec 23. So they are two years behind on royalties the have collected before applying them to my account. So two years worth of royalties in their pocket and not mine.///////////////////////////After requesting my artist royalties over 4 months ago I have still received no payment - searching around this appears to be affecting other artists also. The customer service are polite , but just string you along will different cut and paste excuses 'it's in the pipeline' etc. They are now Stonewalling me and will not reply to any my messages requesting payment on my open ticket with them.I'll give it another month and if I get no further might try contacting the the CEO and CFO directly on LinkedIn, although I don't think they will reply. My advice to artists thinking of joining - BEWARE!!! be VERY careful - look at reviews like this one (there's more than one) before deciding!I'm writing this review in the vain hope Jamedo customer services will see it and pay me and other artist the earned royalties - fingers crossed!
