We recently refreshed a room full of furniture with the help of a wonderful representative. She was fantastic to collaborate with, paying close attention to our preferences, dislikes, and concerns. She presented us with multiple options and price ranges, guiding us in selecting the highest quality furniture that fit our budget. Laura Newland was our interior decorator at the Mount Pleasant J&K Home Furnishings. She volunteered to come out to our house to get an idea what we were looking for. My wife and I do not have a good sense of design. We know what we like and do not like but have no vision. Laura was very patient and helpful in figuring out how to meet our needs and give us a design we loved. She even helped us with paint colors and options to repurpose some furniture pieces in other areas of the house. Laura also was very accommodating to changes to the original order with no sense of sales pressure. Highly recommend Laura and will use her for future design needs we have.
I purchased a Basset sofa and was assured by the salesman that the loose back pillow cushions could be made in a particular style. When the sofa arrived, the pillow style was not as I had ordered. I appealed to the store to correct the problem and was told that the cushions were standard for that sofa. My choices were to return the sofa and pay a restocking fee, have new cushions made at my expense or live with what I received. I also learned that the salesman who sold the sofa had left the company, so I had no recourse with him. I doubt I will purchase anything else from J and K as a result of my experience.
We bought a Tempur Pedic mattress here a couple years ago and when we wanted a new side chair for the living room we returned to look around the store. We were greeted, given some suggestions and allowed to browse casually. We found a chair that suited us and Lisa Miller assisted in our purchase. It was delivered 2 days later by 3 very polite young men. We appreciate the quality of the leather chair, the comfort for us and the bonus was that it was on clearance sale! We would recommend anyone to stop in at J&K Home Furnishings. We found the quality and prices at some of the other Beachy stores was not up to our liking.
J&K in Mount Pleasant has so many nice home furnishings! I was greeted promptly by Bobbie Jo who listened to what I was looking for. She helped me sort through some furnishing ideas, and we came up with a plan! I’ll be going back for round two soon as I have my eye on a snazzy mirror and chairs!
My sister ordered a power recliner for $2800. She was told it would take a month for the special order. 3.5 months later she has NO chair. She is disabled. They have her money and now wont return her calls. I would never shop there. BEWARE
We highly recommend purchasing your furniture from J&K HOME FURNISHINGS and especially from designer and salesperson NORA PEARSON. Nora is a true professional and helped us tremendously. She came to our home and gave us excellent design ideas and suggestions and as a salesperson she was extremely helpful in helping us find what we needed at the best possible sales price. We highly recommend J&K HOME FURNISHINGS and especially NORA PEARSON.
We went to JK Home Furnishings because we wanted to deal with a local store to purchase our Dream Cloud mattresses. The sales people were polite and helpful but after we paid nearly $4000.00 for new mattresses and bases, it took nearly a month to get them. While I understand they can't necessarily control the shipping from a supplier, they need to know how long things will truly take and be upfront and honest about it. We were told to expect the items in one to two weeks. We had issue with the first mattresses and had to order replacements and so far it has been the same experience. I would recommend using a company that stocks what you want locally if you don't want to go through the hassle of waiting and getting excuses when you call to find out what the status is.
