We used JP Goldman for our house sale and onward purchase after a personal referral and good reviews online, but our experience was disappointing. Communication was poor from the start. After the initial paperwork there was no contact for 10 days, and I later learned no work had begun as payment hadn’t been requested correctly. Even once funds were paid, progress was slow and emails often went unanswered.The online app never updated beyond “file opened 10th February” and showed limited information. Our buyer eventually withdrew after weeks of delays, and our conveyancer then left the firm with no notice or handover.A new case handler, Anna, was more responsive and helped us complete after seven months in total. Mia Howard, the legal assistant, was also helpful and professional throughout.Overall, communication was inconsistent and frustrating. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend JP Goldman for conveyancing
We have recently completed the purchase of our first house with JP Goldman. It’s a stressful experience buying a house, but Dan and Rebecca ensured the process was smooth. Both were quick to answer any questions we had in relation to the purchase of our first home. Dan happily met up with us in person on several occasions to ensure that we understand some of the complexities reported back from the sellers’ solicitors. Rebecca updated weekly on developments. We plan to sell our home in four years and will be using JP Goldman again to handle our conveyancing. Thank you both Joe and Judith
Fantastic communication. Dan has kept us informed about everything, every step of the way and made the process so much easier. Very professional throughout. Would definitely recommend them and would use them again for any other legal matters we might have.
I am greatly impressed with the service received from this company. My son purchased a shared ownership flat and I dealt with all necessary legal correspondence. The service was fast and efficient. Communication was excellent and nothing was ever too much trouble. The I liaised with three members of the team at different times and everyone was courteous polite and helpful. I would highly recommend them.
I have just completed the sale of my house of 35 years not wanting to sell but it was the right thing to do. Rebecca at JP Goldman was my point of contact and she could not have done more, anyone who thinks you can sell a house overnight is misguided, my house went through in a resonable time frame and I am satisfied that not only Rebecca but the rest of the staff at JP Goldman know what they are doing.Graham Ralph
Ignore the negative reviews on here, I had 5* service from Ali, she was fantastic from beginning to end. Really made me feel at ease and kept me updated all the time. Very quick turnaround and brilliant customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to use again.
Avoid this company. It was awful trying to get any information from them. Total lack of transparency. I asked them to expedite a purchase but they dragged their feet. When signing up with them I asked "Do you need anything else to get started?" and was advised that they didn't. Weeks later I received an email from a paralegal asking when I was going to pay a fee for searches to be started. Never any contact with the solicitors, only one sentence replies from paralegals. Service and contact is so bad that their email footer "More Time dedicated to you" seems sarcastic. I am now using a different local firm and the comparison is astounding. Really good communication and really helpful staff. Use Michael Taylor & Co instead
I hope everyone just avoid this company, they will not reply to any emails and app communication.Everyone in the purchase is waiting for them, and they are no longer willing to provide any updates. They are lack of internal communication, different staff replies different answers. It is a really bad experience of using their seevice.
Just don't use this company. Buying and selling a home is stressful enough. But they have made the process for all involved stressful and almost unbearable. I have estate agents contacting me EVERY single week due to poor communication from JP. Currently everyone is waiting to go and are waiting on a reply from them to last minute questions. Despite knowing I have an extremely difficult family situation and wanted to move by this week. They have so far sat with the questions for 2 weeks without bothering to respond. I have phoned countless times and are fobbed off or lied to. I am sick of spending my life apologising for their poor service and having processes delayed because they can't be bothered. Just save your own mental welfare and dont use this company. Honestly, the stress is just not worth it. If it's too late for you however like me, save all communications, time line all events including the estate agents chasing etc. That's what the Legal Ombudsman has advised me to do.
