I decided to purchase Kaspersky antivirus after I suspected Windows Defender wasn't doing a good enough job of keeping my PC safe from viruses and malware. I had noticed odd behavior with unknown programs giving errors when shutting down my PC, as well as generally slower performance than before and other occasional signs that my PC was infected.
Lo and behold as soon as I ran a scan with Kaspersky it found a long laundry list of viruses, rootkits and malware. Thankfully it was able to remove all of it and since then my PC has been running good as new again. If anyone thinks Windows Defender is good enough, I strongly recommend reconsidering and getting Kaspersky instead.
It's very much worth mentioning I had also only visited ordinary websites you think would be 'safe', but viruses can nowadays often infect a Windows 11 machine with the latest updates for example even from embedded ads on news sites or javascript in popup ads, even if you don't click on any link or submit any info.
As a bonus the scan also found various corrupted files on my drives much faster than CHKDSK would have, and was able to clean them so I don't get errors about them anymore.
Kaspersky anti-virus runs in the background smoothly and doesn't hog PC resources like other anti-virus software I've used in the past. This is the other main reason I would recommend it, as it doesn't slow your performance down in any apps or cause conflicts or annoying false positives, while you get peace of mind with the strong anti-virus protection provided.
Their customer support was also responsive and helpful when I had an issue with my initial trial set up.

Excellent anti-virus and firewall, used them for over a decade. Started using Kaspersky VPN a few years ago and it was fairly decent. However, VPN performance started to degrade over time, because the servers were clearly oversubscribed. Kaspersky support tried to infer that the problem was with my configuration, rather than their service. After a major program update in November 2025, their VPN became practically unusable. They changed their network to PureVPN, which is notoriously bad. They're still trying to convince customers that the problem lies with the end user, rather than a broken service. I'm done. I'm moving to Proton.
I would give it a 0 if it was an option. I paid for Kaspersky Premium and most of the premium options are not available. The VPN is asking me to pay the subscription again and their support is sending me the same "solution" for the 3rd time. Don't waste your time on this. There are companies that actually know how to setup their apps to work and I wouldn't trust a company that can't do that to handle your security. Incredible how bad these people are and it is normal for their support that I'd have to spend days emailing them JUST TO USE WHAT I PAID FOR...
After update, kaspersky vpn started to not working and I applied to Kaspersky Customer Desk. They replied me four days later and did nothing after tahen i replied again and they replied me 5 days later and again did nothnig. and today they sende another messaage sorry for a along time we are not doing anyhing for you we added 14 days. They are not helping they are jus joking I think.
I had previously used Kaspersky and it worked fine, however I closed my account in 2022. I received an email saying that all devices and subscriptions would be disconnected, what I was not told was that the Auto-Renew for the subscription was not cancelled and payments would still be taken. I should have checked my bank account, however I trusted their email saying that the account was closed and subscription stopped.A further payment was taken in 2023 and 2024, I have only noticed now as my bank keeps rejecting the current payment that they have tried to take.
I've been using Kaspersky for four years. I've had several reputable antiviruses before, but some slowed down my computer, and there were some that 'removed viruses' every five minutes, yet my laptop was constantly infected with viruses. Since I've been using Kaspersky, I've had no problems. They're not flashy, no fuss, just pure protection. Someone wrote that "There's no customer service phone number or email, just an AL-bot". This is not true. After the first year, I wanted to switch to a different package, but I forgot to cancel the old one, and we sorted it out in a single email. This year, the similar thing happened, and the solution came to my email the next day. They also have phone service and chat, with a 4-6 minute wait time. I completely trust Kaspersky, and I'll definitely stay with them.
Be careful with Kaspersky’s auto-renewal settings.I recently discovered that my subscription was set to auto-renew without me realizing it. When the renewal went through, I was charged £60 — far more than what I originally paid, and far higher than the price currently offered to new customers (around £16–£17 for the same plan). In my experience, the price difference is unreasonable, and I was very disappointed when customer support told me there was nothing they could do about it. I had expected better service, especially after using Kaspersky for many years and recommending it to my family.Because of this, I’ve turned off auto-renewal and I won’t be purchasing Kaspersky again once my current subscription ends. There are many other antivirus options available, and I personally won’t be paying three times the current offer price ever again.I recommend that anyone using Kaspersky double-check their renewal settings to avoid a similar situation.
