I bought the OLM Converter, which claimed to convert Outlook folders and files to Gmail. Their website suggested a test run with limited data using their software. However, after purchasing, when I attempted to convert my complete Outlook emails and folders, it resulted in chaos. Folders and files were missing, there were duplicate files, and many folders were empty. An experienced software engineer tried multiple methods to achieve a clean conversion, but nothing worked. The OLM Converter was ineffective. When I reached out to the company via email to express my concerns and request a refund, I received no response. They advertise a 100% satisfaction guarantee, but the fine print reveals numerous obstacles that make it nearly impossible to claim. I strongly advise against using this company and product; it's a complete waste of time and money.
I purchased the KDETools OLM Converter. KDETools claimed it would convert Outlook folders and files to Gmail folders and files. Their website encouraged me to do a test run with my data using software provided on their website. The test software only allows a small file to be tested. After I purchased their software, when I tried to run my full set of outlook emails and folders, I ended up with an absolute mess. Folders were missing, files were missing, multiple copies of the same file occurred, and many folder were empty. This work was done for me by an extremely talented software engineer, who tried multiple ways to get a clean, complete, error free conversion. Nothing worked. The KDETools OLM Converter software was useless. When I contacted the company at their email address with my complaint about their product, and requested a refund, I heard nothing back. KDETools promises a 100 % satisfaction guarantee. However, if you look closely at the fine print of their guarantee of satisfaction, it is clear that you have to jump through so many hoops you will just give up. Stay away from this company and this product. It's a total waste of time and money.
we mistakenly purchased olm converter from a reseller. The email contained a broken download link and a disconnected support phone number. When I finally figured out it was really KDEtools that made it their support sent me a valid key but JUST like the other reviews immediately started forcing an upsell - threatening to disable the license. when I failed to buy the upgarde in the 15 minutes they allowed they sent this "okay, We are cancelling commercial activities on your license, our team will contact you soon"Avoid at all costs
Watch out for KDE ToolsThey deliver BAD software tha does not work and they try to let you pay more for another version that shold work better. I only had to convert a zimbra tgz file to pst . first i bought a personal license that did not work than i bought a corparate license in totla 238 $ . None of the software worked . And they would not pay me back . They only tried to sell me a enterprice licensce for 999 $ . Rgds Harry
TL;DR: This company does not honor the terms of their license. They get two stars instead of one because, with some tweaking, the product did work, but I'd never buy anything from them again.I purchased their PST to MBOX converter a few years ago. The software comes with a lifetime license but only one year of updates. I attempted to move it to a new computer, but instead of asking me for the license key and registration name, which I had recorded, it wanted the license key and email. After trying several of my emails, I contacted them to find out the email I needed to use in order to activate the program.The product is a $29 program. They told me it was good for only one year (not true, according to their website) and offered to deduct my $29 purchase price from their "Technician" license, which sells for $299. I declined, so they dropped the price a little more. I declined again and pointed out that the product comes with a lifetime license. They sent me a screenshot of the website showing they limit sales to a year of updates. I sent them a screenshot of their licensing terms, repeated that I didn't want updates, just to move the program to another computer, and asked them to honor the terms of their license.That was the last I heard from them.
OST to PST converter allows to open OST file and review it in the KDT software, but after conversion file to PST is useless - cannot be imported to Outlook. Contacted support which is not 24/7 (after a few replies usually disappearing) company proposed remote sessions which brought nothing valuable. A few promises that tool works for 100% and two days of waiting nothing has been delivered. I asked for refund of my money, did not get it. In total - not recommended at all.
Not an license owner. I was just helping a non-technical user checking why this product does not work as intended. On PC, there are lots of free ways to migrate Outlook mail files to Gmail. For MAC, there is no free one. A single license of the corporate version cost US$69. It is fine if the program works as intended. Too bad this prduct does not.Using the program requires an external utility to be installed which is not listed on the website. They provide a download link and license key in email after paid. But the download link had its domain not getting subscribed any more. They provided another link upon request. Turned out that the different named file is the same one as the demo version provided on the web site. Upon entering email and key, it activates correctly. Choosing the OLM you want to migrate and they provided adequate instructions though not updated Gmail migration process. The screenshots were out of date and one may not be able to find out the exact place to get the APP password required for migration.Too bad it did not work in my case, the OLM file that I was going to migrate is about 10 Gigabytes with a few subfolders. Status shown the correct number of emails in the subfolders but the actual emails are NOT the correct one to move. Sent folder has about 8000 emails but only about 2000 was actually transferred. To make the matter worse, the other folder such as INBOX (about 18000 emails), it only transferred 1000 or so and the email content migrated were actually the emails from SENT folder. I was thinking that it was corrupted OLM file so I tried export again after making sure all the OS, software are updated. Results were, number of emails migrated were different, but still not the correct one.The contact with support, after confirming that I was using the paid version, saying that they will need to check further and this required an upgrade to technician license US$199. Their provided reasons for this kind of behaviour was "If the software is being misued then the software license will be blocked. you are not a license buyer, the company policy of software that has been allowed can be used by one user 5 times." They required order number, instead of email address of the license owner, as the proof of purchase. I provided the email address of the license owner a few times to them, but I did not have order number for that product on hand.After testing a few times with different OLM files, I realized that it is just easier to use PC to make such transfer. My client's insistance to do it on MAC at her home is not the best way to do with the software not working as claimed.They have a clearly stated refund policy. One that is virtually unrefundable. You can read the details on their website. There are several parts on the website that has broken links, even Facebook. This is definitely not very professional.If you have a specifc need for this, you probably are better off trying other product. I just do not see this working as intended.By the way, their lifetime free upgrade claim was actually not valid. They listed out that you are required to paid after one year for upgrade.Their website listed that there are Google Review 5 stars rating. This cannot be found with google search. The claims listed on the web site may need to be verified.
