VERY GOOD!

VERY GOOD!! Best part is that if you buy too much you can split the server and reallocate your resources to a second server.

Brilliant

Kinetic Hosting has been hosting my minecraft server for nearly a year now. Support is always excellent and the performance of the server is also brilliant. Highly recommend this company.

IF it works, great, if not, don’t count on support

I was looking forward shifting my PalWorld server from my spare computer to your servers and your pricing to start the service was really impressive. After trying to move my files over, which I’d already done successfully on my local computers, I found myself unable to do so shifting them to your service. I might have stayed on anyway to continue using the hosting, but my experience with support was so poor that I had to leave completely. Having worked technical support in different areas myself I did extensive research before reaching out and gave a detailed report of the most relevant steps I took to attempt to resolve the issue. The first reply from support was to link me a Reddit post from the PalWorld subreddit with the process for migrating users over. The post also had lots of comments of people saying it didn’t work and the steps it laid out were ones I had already completed and said as much in my initial ticket. After that it was just back and forth with support telling me to do steps I’d told them i tried in my previous messages and then talking about how the Reddit post helped everyone else over and over, until I gave up after a week of troubleshooting and only 1 step (for confirmation not to resolve the issue) outside of the steps I was providing them.(Update based on Reply)In my first message to support I said my player data wasn't syncing over, here is what I've tried. Included in those steps I listed was the procedure for copying a world from server to another. In the first reply support sent me a link to a reddit post with those EXACT same steps in it, which I pointed out in my next message. After that I was told to check the world to see if my other data came over, which I confirmed as it was something to potentially isolate the issue, but didn't address the main issue. Still I went through several different combinations of ways on my own to bring over just the player data, all of which I laid out in my reply. The response from support was to try copying over just my player data using one of the methods I'd just laid out in my previous method. When I told them I'd already done that, they basically said, welp, that's all I got, the original reddit method worked with everyone else. The reddit post, which was also full of comments from ppl, that method didn't work for.At that point, I was about a week into my subscription without getting to use it with my saved character and with the troubleshooting steps equivalent to turn it off and on again it was obvious no progress was going to be made. The exact same reply wasn't looped back, but my previous troubleshooting steps were looped back in the following reply and there were multiple mentions of "Well, this worked for everyone else." which has no bearing on solving my specific issue. There were only 3 support messages with steps before throwing in the towel, but only one of those offered new information and only was was needed, saying I see you already tried what's in the article we usually send and we understand the issue is specifically with player data, here is what is likely happening and here is is a python script that will convert your player data file from a windows server to a linux one. It came from Github user Nux, but we have tested and verified it on our end. Or better yet, we see you were previously using Windows server and are using our linux server, so we have converted your player data using a github tool (credits), using file management logs to determine your old and new player ids. Please confirm that your player data is showing now.----------------After continuing to research on my own, I found out why this was happening and the solution. Palworld servers save player data differently based on the type of server, which is why I was able to move my server between 2 windows local servers, but couldn't move it to a cloud hosted linux server. The Github tool from Nux in the repo named "palworld-host-save-fix" (can't post the link in reviews), which was mentioned in another Reddit post and uploaded before I started having my issue, converts player data for use on the new server.Perhaps if Kinetic was staying on top of ALL the users experiences and not just laser focused on the previous successes with a single solution (which they did in support as well as the reply here), they would have been able to provide this solution and kept a satisfied customer instead of losing a frustrated one.----------------So anyone considering Kinetic, if you're willing to risk your play time or if adequent support is important to you, keep this and the companies response in mind as you could be in my shoes if you sign up. The one savings grace was it was only a waste of time as it was cheap to sign up and I was issued a refund, but for the time wasted I would have done better trying a different service.
