I was signed up to Sleepstation via the NHS and all I've experienced is extremely dangerous, one size fits all advice written by AI chat bots.
Going into it, I was optimistic as I thought I would actually get some kind of sleep therapy talking to a real person, but that's not what I got.
You fill in a questionnaire which effectively AI generates a completely non-tailored sleep deprivation plan similar to the one they give everyone.
It insists that I'm not allowed to go to bed until 1:15am which I tried to explain several times that is physically impossible given that I am constantly tired and fatigued. All I get back is an AI generated response saying that I have to try because basically not sleeping for long is how to get better at sleeping.
I have explained that trying to force myself to stay up that late and deprive myself of even trying to sleep I feel is dangerous and the thought of it is stressing me out and making my mental health and sleep even worse, but still I get a generic AI generated response repeating the same thing.
When I asked for their complaints process, the bot suddenly stopped replying.
I really would not recommend anyone use Sleepstation as I believe it's an incredibly dangerous and harmful program, if not for the generic advice but for the fact that you're expected to take said advice from an AI chat bot that can't listen or tailor responses to you.

Sleep station have given me the tools I need to better my sleep routine going forward. After years of disturbed sleep, I mean years, they have given me strategies to get back to sleep after waking up in the night. I’m not there yet, but you can’t expect a few weeks to undo 40 odd years of struggle. I’m confident that over the next weeks/months my sleep will continue to get better. In the meantime, I’ll take what I get and in the knowledge that it’s an improvement. Thank you Sleep Station
The programme had benefitted me so much.It has helped me with sleep hygiene and building better routines and habits. Having to reflect each day on the night before and how you feel is very powerfulThe individual conact with James the sleep consultant was great as were the tutorials In return for this structure my sleep quality has improved so much I am truly grateful
Insomnia had been affecting me months before I started treatment for cancer. I went to the GP got sleeping tablets and he referred me to Sleep Station. Best move for me. I was undergoing cancer treatment and sleep station accommodated my reaction to chemotherapy and even gave me a respite whilst in hospital. It was difficult at first but with their ongoing help eventually we overcame. I now sleep a good 9 hours per night with only a very occasional bad night. Would definitely recommend.
I was having trouble sleeping. I could go without sleep & work the next day. Being very aware of the risks this involved, especially as driving was part of my job. There were times when I just didn't want to get out of bed, as I felt I hadn't had enough sleep. I just felt I needed help to get back to having a normal sleep pattern.
