Review Time
I have managed to kill every single plant i have even owned (50+) and totally gave up. When i moved i decided to give it one more chance and i subscribed to the quarterly beginner pet friendly subscription. My only goal when i got the first plant was that it would still be alive when the second plant arrived. I am now up to 8 plants - 4 of which are from lively root and they are all doing well! It has been over 6 months with multiple of them and they are proving to be thriving compared to my past experiences both with purchasing plants in person and ordering from other vendors online.
It has been a month since I placed an order to a friend for a bereavement. The plant still has not arrived, and sits on the 'label created' limbo. I've reached out to customer service and after the first 'we'll look into it', I got nothing. No followup about why the plant has not shipped and no offer to do something about it. I've emailed customer service again to ask for a full refund and won't be making the mistake of buying from lively root again.
So I ordered an Orchid from these people. It arrived with two cut leaves ( by them) and two leaves that were sunburned. One very badly. I can only imagine how the trimmed leaves looked. Within a week all the small buds dropped off. Customer service said the would send a replacement. I received the replacement and it looked nothing like the photos they showed. Although this plant is much healthier, it is half the size of the original which was not cheap ($68 USA).I'm very disappointed. I can purchase better orchids at my local supermarket for half ( or less) the price Be warned, the plants ( at least the Orchids) are not worth the price or the weeks wait.
The Lively Root Team is incredible to work with!I submitted an order (gift) and forgot to change the shipping address to reflect the gift recipient address. I emailed the team and received a quick response back assuring me the correct address would be updated and shipment was set to go out as originally scheduled.Changes were verified with me also.The Lively Root support team was truly amazing to work with! Great shopping experience!
Updating my review after receiving an email from another customer service person after seeing my initial review. This person's response was the one that should have been first. Good effort in recovery. The poor plant's condition upon arrival was properly acknowledged and accounted for. I was given a full refund. The plant arrived still bent, but not where it actually snapped and broke. It stood back up and it's been fine ever since.This is my second purchase from Livelyroot from a gift card I was given. The bird of paradise is a tall plant but livelyroot didn't put it in an appropriately sized box, instead, they bent the tallest stem to fit into the box and now, that stem is as good as gone and I'm left to cross my fingers and hope for the best with the remainder.I contacted the company and they offered their apologies ay blamed it on shipping & handling and/or the weather. No, my poor plant was stuffed into a box that was too small. I reiterated that and they offered 20% off, but I requested 30% off because this didn't happen during transit, they knowingly stuffed a tall stem into a too small box. This was a less than pleasant experience with this company. I still have room left on the gift card so I'll have to get one more plant from them.Also, they did not publish my honest review to their website. Very peculiar.
I am extremely pleased with Lively Root! We all know anything can happen when shipping plants, unfortunately mine has showed up a bit damaged and falling apart. It was beautiful but had a bit more damage than I could repair myself. I contacted the company and they were so prompt on their concern and response to get me a replacement out! I am so thankful to have found such a great company to purchase beautiful plants from that genuinely care about their customers and their plants! I will absolutely purchase many more from them! I highly recommend:)
