Brittanie Harden my loan consultant, was absolutely amazing . . . all the way through the process. loanDepot had financed the home I sold AND financed the home I purchased. Brittanie was so good to keep me on top of everything. She's 100% professional and brilliant!
I have to say, I had a very good overall experience with the Loan Depot process and employees. Austin Krol was very personable to speak with, he was knowledgeable about the lending process and loans you had to offer me and helped me find the best loan for my situation. A+ to him. Mindy Nagy was also excellent. She was a breathe of fresh air, pleasure to speak and deal with. She tied up the loose ends of getting the loan to close quickly. A+ to her. The Notary that came to my home to sign the paperwork was also a pleasure to work with. He was on time and very friendly. A+ to him. I cant say I had a bad experience throughout the whole loan process.

We had a horrible experience from beginning to end. I originally reached out because my father had a seamless experience and couldn't say enough positive things. He wrapped up the entire situation in less than 4 weeks. It took us about 3.5 months. I would never recommend loan depot to family or friend.
The people we talked to over the phone were very cordial as was the lawyer who came to our home. We did not like the fact that the 1st lawyer scheduled to come meet us on Jan. 23 never came nor called to cancel. We waited from 2 pm until 8 pm for a no call no show. This was a huge inconvenience.
Secondly, we were not told in advance we would need two people present to witness the signing. We had to call around until we were able to contact people who could come at the last minute.
The experience was positive overall, but the appraisal did not reflect actual costs. The properties in the area are newly built with extensive features like waterfront decks, which are valued well over 100k. I provided documentation of my expenses, yet the appraisal was lower than expected. Once the waterfront deck is completed, properties in this neighborhood should exceed market value by over 100k.
