I purchased LOWA Ferrox Pro GTX Mid Women boots from an authorized retailer in Italy. They were worn only 4 times and are less than 6 months old.
One boot already shows a serious stitching defect: a seam near the heel has completely come undone. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, not normal wear.
The retailer simply cut the loose thread and refused to open a warranty claim. LOWA Italy (email and phone) was dismissive and claimed it was “wear and tear.” I also contacted LOWA Germany, but after more than one month I have received no assistance.
Very disappointing quality and customer support for a premium brand.

The most comfortable boots with no need to wear in and love the style. Customer service brilliant and responsive and resolved my issue very quickly. Shout out for James K in customer service who was friendly, polite and kept me updated, Thank you.
Over the past 4 years I have now purchased 2 pairs of Lowa Renegade boots. Comfortable yes. Durable, NO! Both pairs failed around the stitching at the flex point of the toe. I'm not an intensive hiker being 73 years old and weighing in at 68kg. The last pair had a very thin fragile leather outer which became detached from the stitching. Disappointing as these boots leak, badly as a result. I now have a pair of boots which have a good sole but in every other respect are rubbish. Not worth the high price point. I'm moving to AKU. We will see if they are any longer lasting.
Went to leave a review on the lowa website and saw these trustpilot reviews which are absolutely wild to me. Had to check we were talking about the same brand. I've not had experience with "consumer level" boots but used lowa zephrys for search and rescue (which have last years) as well as their assault boots for really dirty jobs and the boots have been absolutely faultless for over 5 years on a single pair, and well over 4000 miles. I've had many standard issue and high street brands but haven't purchased a single pair elsewhere so at least 2020. You just don't need to. If you want them for professional use, you honesty won't get beter.
I am writing this review as a repeat customer who has purchased three pairs of Lowa shoes over the years. Unfortunately, my experience of these shoes not lasting over 13 months has completely changed my mind this time round. The shoes were, as always, extremely comfortable, but their quality is frankly unacceptable. After only 13 months, they have failed, which is ridiculous for a pair that costs over £190. When I contacted customer service, I was simply informed that they were out of warranty, and is fair wear and tear. The product's lifespan does not reflect the price at all. It is incredibly frustrating to see a brand I trusted decline in quality so significantly. Based on this experience, I will unfortunately be taking my business elsewhere. They could have had a customer for life, if their sole could last longer than a year of use .
I love the comfort and fit of lowa renegrades. However I’m now onto my fourth pair!!!!as sadly the soles start to wear after approx three months. It’s taken till this pair to realise that as soon as the outer edge of the heel wears…then I start to slip and fall.Pretty dangerous really. The soles are Vibram and unfortunately most boot companies now use this stuff.I had one pair resoled but it wasn’t successful.Unfortunately I’m now left with four expensive pairs of boots with great leather uppers that are extremely waterproof that I can’t risk wearing
