Don't bank with them. I open the saving account yesterday, no problem transferring the money in, but after I transfer $10 to my ubank account, they lock my account. Calling them won't unlock your account, they send me a link to do id verification. After the verification done, still won't unlock your account. Good luck getting to customer service, still waiting for them to call back

My experience of the Macquarie Bank , Sydney from October to the end of December 2026 was the most horrendous and stressful experience of my life and that of my wife’s life.
The total incompetence of their system is embarrassing , if this is the future of electronic banking we should all give up living now.
We rolled over our Super with the bank to a Self Managed Super Fund Account , I thought it would take 5 days as all could be done electronically within the bank no one else involved . It took 70 days 114 phone calls and 240 hours waiting on the phone to talking to 37 different staff members in total and that is not the worst.
In all that time,effort and stress we didn’t receive one phone call back from the bank to apologise to us like real people .
We both nearly had nerve breakdowns at the end. This new way of banking is a disgrace to the Australian Banking Institution .
Heavens forbid if they all use it and we have a Cashless Society. I would strongly recommend to all Australian’s to flee to Africa and live in a mud hut and be happy.

I've been a customer of Mac Bank for nearly 8 years with numerous Home Loan & Off Set accounts. They have been very easy to deal with, always answered phone calls in a timely manner, even contacted us about changing certains aspects of our loan over to cheaper loans - GREAT SERVICE!
However, today (Tues 27th Jan) has so far been a nightmare....went to the Picton CBA ATM to withdraw cash to pay a bill (like I have done for the last 8 years) - no access to my funds. Tried ringing the bank - no luck - ON HOLD FOR A VERY LONG TIME - In total over 1 hour between 4 different attempts to get a resolution.
Rang 3 different numbers - same story - ON HOLD.

Disappointing Experience After 30 Years

Having been a customer for nearly 30 years, I recently attempted to update my phone number as an overseas client. Unfortunately, I was interrupted multiple times, treated disrespectfully, and informed that my request might not be accepted. It's frustrating to see such resistance when trying to make a simple change.

Disappointing experience with the settlement process

My wife and I are in the midst of acquiring a new residential property, and unfortunately, the sellers have chosen a certain financial institution for their settlement. Despite a lengthy seven-week period for settlement, this institution has still not completed their necessary requirements by the agreed date. Now, three days past the scheduled settlement, they have yet to finalize their responsibilities in the process. The level of incompetence and inefficiency we’ve experienced is astonishing. It’s hard to believe that a major financial entity can perform so poorly at such a crucial moment in a property transaction. Their ongoing delays are costing us significant amounts in rescheduling and adjusting furniture removal services. A glance at the reviews of this institution reveals just how problematic it truly is. I cannot understand how they continue to operate and maintain an Australian Financial Services Licence. Their professionalism and customer service are virtually non-existent. Proceed with caution if you choose to engage with them.

My wife and I are currently in the process of purchasing a new residential property, and unfortunately the sellers are using Macquarie Bank for their settlement. Despite a lengthy seven-week settlement period, Macquarie have still failed to complete their requirements by the agreed settlement date.We are now three days post the scheduled settlement date, and Macquarie has still not finalised their part of the process. The level of incompetence and inefficiency we’ve encountered is staggering. It is astonishing that a major financial institution can perform so poorly at such a critical stage of a property transaction.Their ongoing delays are now costing my wife and I many hundreds of dollars in amending and rebooking furniture-removal services.One only needs to read through the reviews of Macquarie Bank to fully understand how bad this bank really is. I cannot fathom how they are still able to trade and hold an Australian Financial Services Licence. Their levels of professionalism and customer service are non existent.Deal with them at your own peril.

I opened a new account and the moment i tried to move my own money, they froze everything. i ended up answering pointless questions, only for them to stop the transaction anyway. Mow I'm just trying to get my funds back, but they keep delaying the process. centúry 100 gives me confidence because they always deliver. My withdrawals are managed smoothly and with the attention they deserve

Not a functioning savings bank: scam bank, beware!

As per others: I set up a new account & the moment I tried to any basic funds transfer they locked my account.I then had to go through the drama & illegal questioning to justify a simple bank transfer which were then cancelled - defeating the purpose of having funds with them. I am in the process of trying to get my money out, but again they have placed delays on my withdrawal of funds. This organisation should have their banking licence revoked - they are a criminal / scam operation.

I agree with the other reviews, this is the worst service I have ever received from a bank, you stopped my card die to fraud, and whilst I am very happy that you did pick up the fraud, ifs been over 2 weeks, I’ve spoken to numerous people and absolutely no one can order me a replacement card, I’ve left 20 messages in the chat and still no card, and now for some unknown reason, you have stoped my other card as well, with no email, no explanation, and still no service, can someone please call me and assist
