As far as emails go - it works fine for pretty much all purposes. This "You're running out of space" thing is a scam though because being at 99% full, I deleted over 20k emails from my inbox and 300 pictures from my backed up photos which dropped it down so low that I was no longer receiving any warnings. After a week, during which time I receive maybe 1-200 emails I'm suddenly getting notifications that I'm back at 99% full. This feels really scammy which from a company like Google is quite a let down.

I got my airline ticket by logging in through gmail. After a few days google suddenly blocked my email saying suspicious activity detected. The recovery option does not give my recovery email and keeps asking to give the email to be recovered ( which is the blocked email ). Then the recovery code is sent to the blocked email which i obviously don't have access to. Customer support abruptly stopped responding. So I cannot access my airline booking account either. Very unreliable organization. Don't trust google with any important work.

Son’s Gmail account has been hacked

Son’s Gmail account has been accessed and they have changed the mobile number. Despite having a backup email, they are refusing to accept this and we have now lost all access. No customer services and you can just post your question online. Rubbish service!!!

I would give no stars if opposition my account keeps on being hacked I've spoken to someone about how easy it is for someone to assess my account from another divices and cloan my account

The order of emails makes no sense

The order of emails makes no sense. Let’s say you have a chain, you’ll get the latest email, your previous email, the latest email beneath that again and then everything else is hidden until you expand it. It really is poor form from Google.

Unresponsive support and technical glitches are ruining my business and livelihood

I am extremely disappointed with Gmail's automated verification system and the lack of real human support. My account (abdelkamalelbaraka) was disabled due to a technical error. Despite Google's support team approving my appeal and confirming my ownership, I am stuck in a 'Too many attempts' loop with the phone verification.​I have tried multiple times to receive a verification code on my Moroccan number, but the system keeps failing. This isn't just an email issue—this account is linked to my Payoneer financial identity. Because of this Gmail glitch, my Payoneer account has been closed, and I have lost access to my sole source of income.​It is unacceptable that a global company like Google provides no way to bypass a broken automated system, even after a manual appeal is approved. You are literally putting people's livelihoods at risk due to poor technical coordination and non-existent direct support. Fix the SMS verification system for international users!
