This company keeps billing my credit card after I cancelled and have billed me more than the agreed upon price. I have cancelled and will see if any other charges come thru before I report them. Don't use!
I subscribed to headway today and I still can’t confirm my email to get started. Also 2 amounts of around $US30.00 were taken out of my credit card. When I tried to contact them I got a message saying both of the emails I tried on their site are inactive.
Awesome book summaries, but they are con artists. The 7 day free trial isn't free at all, as they charge you immediately, and even if you cancel immediately you are still left with a 3 month subscription that costs $43.
Their customer service is a bot so you get no help at all. I am now getting alerts everyday to renew my membership even though I am paid up for another 2.5 months.
Such a shame that they treat people this way. They could learn a lot from Amazon. I definitely won't be renewing just because they are a dishonest company.
This is really a great service. I have learned while researching a possible book buy. It is also fun to learn about things that I maybe are more interested in than I would have thought. It has broadened my already wide horizons. Thank you.
Scam. They offer you first a good price ($8,00) and then when you pay they put in the main page a blue bottom to add some books but they don’t present the price and then they charge you 12$ more. When you ask about refund they say they don’t refund
SUBSCRIBERS BEWARE: I enrolled in Headway under a promotional trial, but never received a confirmation email, receipt, or any indication that my subscription went through. Despite that, I was immediately charged an additional $19.99. I contacted support requesting a refund because I couldn’t access the app or website, and received no response.When I attempted to cancel through their site, it only canceled part of the subscription. I was then charged $28.55 for another month—still with no access. After reaching out again, I was told they “don’t offer refunds” and that I had agreed to the charges, even though I had never been able to use the service. Only after I complained a third time did they suddenly grant access—conveniently after I had already paid for a month I couldn’t use.The pattern is clear: unexplained charges, partial cancellations, no access to paid content, and dismissive customer service. In my experience, this is not a trustworthy company. If you value your time and money, avoid Headway entirely.
I assumed that the app was going to pick daily books for me and I would complete one book a day, but it lacks structure and sequencing of books. Recommendations are made, but it's still essentially like going to a library and you have to make decisions. I was assuming it was an automatic setup and maybe I could skip a book if I wanted.
