-i asked for vegan, low calorie, etc. i realized the box that WAS GOING TO BE SHIPPED, wasn't what I had requested. it had meat in it. i called to tell them they were GOING TO SHIP the wrong box, but i was told i couldn't have all of what i wanted, it was low cal, so that was good enough. i told them not to ship it, because i wouldn't eat it and i would throw it away. i was told no, they were shipping it anyway. i asked them to refund my money for that box, since i wouldn't eat it, I was told no!
I truly appreciate the diverse selection of recipes. From gourmet-inspired dishes to family-friendly classics, there's always something appealing or a new dish I'm eager to try. The global range makes me feel like I'm exploring different cuisines without stepping outside. The only drawback is the price. It's my top choice for meal kits, but I prefer to use a promo code or have the budget in place.
Having tried numerous meal kit services over the past six years, this is our first box, and we've already prepared four meals. Each one deserves a perfect rating of 5 stars. I tend to be quite discerning when it comes to meal kits, but every ingredient is of top-notch quality, and the preparation instructions are meticulously detailed. The weekly selection is impressively varied.
I’ve experimented with three other similar services and decided to switch entirely to Marley. They are typically more innovative and adventurous; some recipes are quite straightforward, yet they create combinations I would never have imagined. The portion sizes are quite reasonable, and I’m extremely satisfied with Marley four times a week!
Have had problems with the last 2 orders. A $15 credit helped with the one before last. Two issues with the most recent one: 1) A corner of the box was split open likely causing leakage in one of the sauces, and 2) The wrong recipe card was include with one of the dinners, solve by printing out the correct one, but was an initial source of confusion.The key positive is the unmatched selection of dinners. Finally, a piece of advice from a market researcher, change your surveys when a customer opts out. Very frustrating, including response options which don't apply. Happy to advise.
Issues with every box. Ingredients are commonly missing. Everything is dumped into a single box, no matter how many meals. Very unorganized. Financially, they don't make things truly "right" when there is an issue, just throw a $5 credit at you. Meals are not impressive (not super easy, no WOW flavor). This has been disappointing. Home Chef is much better.
We have been pleased with Marley Spoon. The meals are very tasty and it is a great convenience for not having to meal plan. I also have never had issues with meat leaking out of packages in the box like some other meal delivery brands we have used.that is a huge difference for me and an important one for food safety. My only suggestion would be to offer a few more lower calorie options.
We used another meal plan for a few years and got tired of receiving sub-standard ingredients. We gave Marley Spoon a try and it’s been fantastic! So glad we switched. The ingredients are always great quality and the recipes are delicious.
