I was just thinking the best way to describe The Reverse Engineer is like Hogwarts for music tech >_< It's just absolute freaking magic! The BEST learning environment. I feel so inspired, & so motivated to continue levelling up and learning. The community is awesome, the mentors are beyond generous with their knowledge & wisdom, and the insights I'm gaining into my craft are invaluable. I'm not only filling the technical gaps in my knowledge but learning how to navigate the industry, as well as addressing all the mindset stuff that can otherwise hold you back. And I'm having so much fun too! Mastering.com are absolutely brilliant and my life is much enriched since discovering them ^_^ Thank you team! XXX
I've been doing audio for many years but was not able to achieve the results I wanted. I took the leap and spent the money. Almost immediately, I learned a major difference from recording analog to recording digital that improved my recordings. It has continued for over a year now and I am still gaining valuable information, training my ear and making connections inside a community that is so supportive that it makes me proud to be a part of it. This is not a course for everyone. It is very difficult. It is expensive. But for me, it is worth it. Getting a musical piece radio ready is a game of inches. I'm glad that I made the move.
I’ve been in the full Reverse Engineer program for 8 months and my skills have improved exponentially. I played in bands and paid the rent that way all through the emergence of the home recording industry, but went for security of a teaching and tech career — I have a Bachelor’s in Music and a Master’s in Education. Now I find myself helping friends who toughed it out and are working in the business but reached a plateau, and my musical life is experiencing a total resurrection. The curriculum is precisely what we need to know to get results, But the golden nugget is that every one of these mentors is also an excellent teacher — whether recording a video or running a live session, they make their thinking visible. It’s not simply what or how, but deeply into the Why. All of the above is already the description of a fabulous program, but then there’s the Skool community. If you are used to YouTube comments and most of social media, you will be gratefully relieved to discover the largest, most humble, most supportive community of talented participants you can imagine — true colleagues in every sense of the word. The future looks bright. I’ve never looked back.
Being a student at mastering.com is downright awesome. I'm doing the 2-year Reverse Engineer program, and I'm having the best time ever. The course material is super engaging, the mentors brilliant and the community too. Sounds like I'm paid to advertise here, but from all of the communities I've been in, this has been the best. People are super friendly, always out to help and cheer, so I've made quite a few new friends. I love how active the community is. And you have ample opportunity to meet and talk to the mentors in the many live calls that are held each week, or they too are active in the community and often reply to messages. Bottom line, I'm really happy I decided to join The Reverse Engineer!
I have been in the music biz since 1966. I have been lucky. I had a lot of success as a songwriter, producer, musical arranger and session musician - I have had 1000 of hours in the studio among the very best musicians of Sweden - and you now they are world class. In the year of 2000 I decided to try something else in life and stopped all music creation and went into school as a principal and later on full time as a politician. It was great! But in 2023 the longing for making music grow strong. And encouraged by my wife I entered an International song writing camp - and there I decided to go for another 25 years or so.. I entered TRE at Mastering. com to refresh my knowledge, get new perspectives, learn the digital music production world and the skill of mastering. And the best thing we all can do is to invest in ourselves - and this is the best investment I have done for so many years. I recommend TRE for anyone that is serious about music, sound and professionalism. I meet new friends everyday in the community and collaboration is great!
I have done many production mixing courses. In my opinion this the most professional. Initially I had a bad experience on first call but gave it another shot and I am very glad I did. This is not a class for someone not serious. It requires effort, perseverance, and daily ear training. The long term improvement has been very noticeable in my music career.
Mastering.com The Reverse Engineer program did wonders for me! I have taken institutional and industry training along my engineering path. However, most of them were a complete waste of money. I was able to obtain more relevant information by watching YouTube and other video tutorials and books. One of those video tutorial sites was Mastering.com. So, when I saw that they had developed an engineering program for all three pillars of engineering. I jumped on it. I was not disappointed. The lessons are well thought out and frequently updated. I had to do a couple of the modules twice due to the industry changes and updated techniques. My engineering abilities have increased since starting this program. Additionally, the community aspect of the program is equally amazing. You will have the ability to meet other engineers and musicians for collaborations or business ventures. Two of my most liked features of the TRE program are the mentorship and the Student Success Specialist Lucy. She provides extreme support and a caring ear to everyone in the program. If you are an aspiring engineer, producer, or artist in need of training. This is the program for you.Blessed!
Mastering.com and The Reverse Engineer program have been a huge part of my life for the past three years. When I started, I was working at a mine in New Mexico, feeling pretty bummed out because my music just didn't sound professional. I signed up to learn the ins and outs of mastering, but I ended up getting so much more.As I dove into the program, I realized that understanding mastering was actually making my mixing and production skills way better. It was like a lightbulb went off, and everything about music production started to make more sense.Seeing the progress I was making, I decided to double down and join their Producing for Income Elective. That decision paid off big time. In just over a year, I was able to leave my mining job and start producing music full-time. Now, I work with clients from all over, right from my own place.I used to think a career in music was out of reach for me. But the community at Mastering.com proved me wrong. I've met some incredible people who've become close friends and have even offered me a couch to crash on if I ever needed it. These friendships have opened doors to new opportunities that I just didn't have back in my hometown.Every lesson, every mentorship call, every interaction in the community has been packed with value. And here's the real kicker, after years of growing and honing my skills through the program, I've come full circle. The team at Mastering.com recognized my dedication and the strides I'd made, and they offered me a mentor position. It's been an incredible honor to shift from being a student to a guide, from absorbing knowledge to now being a source of inspiration and support for others embarking on their own music journeys. It's a role that's not only a testament to my growth but also a chance to give back to the community that's given me so much. This experience has been one of the most rewarding parts of my musical path, and it's a chapter I'm proud to write. If you're sitting there wondering if this program can help you level up your music production game, I'm here to tell you it can. I've lived it. I went from dreaming about a music career to living it every day, and now I get to help others do the same. If you've got the drive to improve your skills, I wholeheartedly recommend this program. It's been a life-changer for me, and it could be for you too!
