Maxer's technical support team provides a great service as part of my hosting plan (through which I manage several sites running MySQL databases). While I can fix most common or routine problems myself, I have found their responses to my occasional requests to solve more complex issues truly excellent. When you submit a support ticket, they respond very promptly and work hard to resolve the difficulty within hours when possible, and always communicate with patience and courtesy.
We've had our business site with Maxer since they took over from the company we were originally with. In all that time we've had no problems with the service. Uptime has been exemplary and support has been second to none, speedy, never condescending and always fixed.

I was their customer for many years. I used to use SpeedySparrow at first, but they sold their web hosting service to Maxer years ago. I guess they failed because they had a problem with invoicing, sending old invoices to their customers. The owner was not a bad man, though. For a while Maxer has maintained the price from SpeedySparrow, which was a little high in the first place. Then Maxer raised their prices. That was when cPanel tried to raise their cPanel prices.The price was already a little too high, but then they raised their already high price. But my websites there was not receiving high traffic. My two websites there got only a few real human visitors a day, not counting bots. That was my limit, no, beyond my allowable limit.If their server were fast, it might have compensated for the price, but their server was a little slow, even compared to cheaper web hosting services. I did not need a particularly fast server in the first place. Paying several dollars a month means nearly a dollar for each real human visitor. So that was too much.Support was fairly good, I must say. However, it was an economic nonsense to use their slow but steady expensive server for low traffic websites.If they lowered prices by half or minus two thirds, I might even return. I am sure that would not happen.
