I was receiving money for a school workshop and they were paying me through Melio. Melio sent me an email that the money was being sent to me through instant deposit. I never chose instant deposit - instant deposit takes a fee. I certainly would have waited the three days for the money to keep the whole payment, but no way to change the delivery. Very disappointing for them to take fees for hard working teachers . . . . not giving the option to change delivery time. :( : ( : (
I am submitting a formal complaint about the company's failure to fulfill my verified request for account deletion and the removal of all related personal information, which I submitted on Nov 28, 2025. Despite multiple communications, the support team has declined to process this request, claiming they cannot verify an account that was deliberately created with false information for testing. According to data privacy laws, individuals have the right to request the deletion of personal information, even if the data provided during account creation was inaccurate or fabricated for testing purposes. By not honoring my deletion request and failing to offer a reasonable alternative for verification, the company is violating these legal requirements. Their responses indicate that deletion will not occur unless I provide a government-issued ID or other verification documents. Since the account contains fictitious data and does not relate to any real person or entity, it is impossible to provide the requested documentation. Additionally, the ongoing inaction exceeds the legally required response time for such requests and reflects an unreasonable verification demand that does not align with good-faith compliance with privacy regulations. Therefore, I am formally requesting that the company promptly delete all accounts linked to my email and permanently erase all data associated with these accounts from their systems, including emails, test data, and any internal records, as well as confirm in writing that this deletion has been executed. If the company does not comply with this request within 30 days from Nov 28, 2025, I will escalate this issue to the relevant regulatory authorities for investigation and potential enforcement action. I expect a swift written acknowledgment of this complaint and a timeline for compliance with my deletion request.
First time using and my client paid three invoices at the same time. The two smaller payments were deposited within 24 hours, but Melio held the larger one for a week, and getting any information from support was impossible. 8 days after the payment was made, they marked the third payment as failed and refused to give me any information as to why, so a week later I had to go back to my client and look like a complete fool trying to figure out what happened with the payment. Complete garbage service.
Avoid Melio at all costs especially if you are a small business! I contacted them with concerns over my account bc I was receiving income for the first time. The past five or so years I only used them to send money. After receiving my very first payment and having talked to and exchanging personal emails with a rep, the funds cleared. The very next morning they cancelled my account, reversed the funds sending me negative on my clients project. And a week has passed and not a single reply from melio, the rep or customer service! THEY ARE NOT SAFE FOR TOUR BUSINESS AT ALL! BEWARE! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
