I did the Aprilia Toureg 660 experience, ended up just Mick and I, (although we were joined by John on his Tenere 700, a friend of micks) just want to say it was amazing, Mick is such a professional and helped me out of many sticky situations and a couple of falls lol. I couldn't recommend this experience more, the bikes were amazing and the scenery was spectacular, the place is massive and there's really something for every type of rider
Mick Exstance Enduro Experience – An Unforgettable Day!I recently had the pleasure of taking our staff from ACT Industrial Buildings on an enduro adventure with Mick Exstance, and it was truly an incredible day from start to finish.The setup was top-notch — from the quality of the gear and the latest bikes to the stunning location, which is undoubtedly one of the best riding spots in the UK. The entire experience was expertly organized, making everyone feel comfortable and confident right from the start.Our guide was outstanding — patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about riding. He took the time to teach all the basics, provided valuable tips throughout the day, and constantly offered help to ensure everyone was safe and having fun.What impressed us most was seeing some of our team, who were complete novices at the beginning of the day, confidently riding hills, roots, streams, and tackling obstacles by lunchtime. It was a testament to the excellent guidance and supportive environment Mick Exstance created.Overall, it was a fantastic day out that exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend Mick Exstance for anyone looking to experience enduro riding in a professional, fun, and inspiring setting. We’ll definitely be back!
Absolutely the best experience all 3 of us have ever had. Still got a smile on our faces, even though it was almost 2 weeks ago. The location and setting is absolutely stunning. The bikes and equipment was second to none. Pete who was our guide/instructor for the day is so knowledgeable, calm and understanding. He explained all the necessary controls to use very effectively. A genuine top bloke. We could all sense that he was at home, and with his tips to get us all to understand what is required to get the most out of ourselves, and more importantly what the bikes are capable of. Truly believe a course like this should be introduced into the main bike testing for street riding. We have all taken so much knowledge from the day, that we will use in our everyday road riding. We all have the bug now and want to experience the day again. We really recommend you give the day a try, you will love every minute of the experience, and take so much away with you. The only downside is the day flies but that’s because we all enjoyed it so much we didn’t want it to end. Awesome thank you for the experience and we will definitely be back again. What an amazing venue. I have only ridden off-road once since way back in my earlier years but went home thinking anything’s possible, and with a stupid grin on my face that’s still here two days later!. Some of the amazing trails Pete and his team guided us through were increased in difficulty as the day went on to push us that little bit further out of our comfort zone (but still within our limits). We were a group of mixed ability and experience but all managed to get through the day as one team and without leaving anyone behind.Towards the end of the day we stood at the top of this gnarly mud fested, deeply rutted steep forest trail. It had been pissing down all day and thought there’s no way he’s taking us down there. But we all survived it pushing ourselves further than we thought possible and I feel capable enough to tackle some TRF trails on my own now.Pete’s expertise is clear to see and he is such a confidence inspiring coach and genuine nice guy. The rest of the team are also great guys and helped us all during our day, stepping in to assist only when we needed it.The bikes were fantastic too, all well maintained, with a choice of Stark Varg electric and Beta X-Trainer 300cc two strokes with more than enough power for anyone but still nice and light. They also had numerous options for lower seat height models, although at 5ft 11, the Beta was fine and I was able to flat foot it.I have never had so much fun in the rain. It was cold, a bit frosty in places and sodden wet with water obstacles all day. I’m so glad we did it in this weather as they were the hardest conditions to learn in and much of anything else should be a bit of a breeze now. I will definitely be returning as soon as I have scrabbled enough funds together.
What a fantastic day! I am an experienced road rider although had never ridden off road. So at 52 years of age I decided I would like to give it a go. The weather was sunny and dry. We got kitted out first with Pete and watched a short safety/advice video. Then Pete took us to the bikes up the mountain in the mini-bus. Where the three of us met up with John the second instructor. Both Pete and John were polite welcoming helpful encouraging and very professional the whole day! Inwardly I was a little apprehensive, new experience/danger and all that. However Pete and John progressively build your skill set stage by stage. All three of us steadily gained confidence and new skills. One guy had never ridden a motorcycle before. Pete put him on a 125cc and within about 30 minutes, he was with us the full day. The other road rider was on a Beta 300cc xtrainer, like myself. Which has a 910mm seat height. At 5’9” we could both flat foot the floor. Which is perfect for dabbing when the trail got gnarly! After our skills training we had lunch about midday. In the afternoon we were led off onto trails. Again John and Pete looked after us, instructing us how to ascend/descend a trail as we ventured further. If you go with a give it a go attitude and listen to the instructors, I guarantee you will improve. The guys really look after you all the way! If I can do it, so can you!Thanks John and Pete, you are a credit to your profession! I would most definitely highly recommend the Mick Extance Experience.
Went with a group of friends for my first time riding enduro. What a day! Probably the most fun I've had on a motorbike in years! The scenery is spectacular and Mick and his team are truly professional. Friendly and supportive advice to suit all levels. Our group had riders of all abilities and everyone was catered for and came away with big smiles! Would highly recommend this day and will 100% be back to ride again. Just one complaint, I enjoyed it so much I now need to find the money for my own enduro bike...🤪😁
