I will never use this Carhire company again. Prebooked a car and when we attended the nominated desk at the airport we were told that Carjet had booked cars that they didnt have. The desk informed us that the booking was now cancelled and that we werent the only ones that this happened to. We had to hire a car from an alternative company. Now mistakes happen, that is fine but 8 days later and counting they still haven't refunded us even though they told me 5 days ago that they would do it immediately. Absolutely disgraceful. I will update as to how long it actually takes Carjet to refund us our money.

The booking process was smooth and initially gave me confidence that I was set for a solid trip. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, I had to cancel my travel plans and was unable to inform Carjet before the scheduled rental car pickup time.

When I inquired about the possibility of some leniency regarding a refund, considering that the car was never picked up or used, and that I was also unable to recover costs from my hotel booking and flights, my request was promptly denied with a standardized, impersonal email response.

If you need to deal with customer support, you will most likely only be communicating with a bot. In my opinion, I would highly recommend renting directly from the local rental company, as Carjet adds no real value to the booking.

Additionally, I was later informed that if you purchase their “advanced insurance,” it is also handled indirectly. In the event of vehicle damage, you must first pay the local rental company and then request reimbursement from Carjet. Based on my experience with their customer support, I would not be confident in receiving reimbursement without significant hassle.

Fraud! "The cheapest prices in the universe!"
Rental in Miami. The prize they tell me was 322 USD. It cost me 1568 USD. Compare to another company, I had to pay 3 times more than my friend who used another company. Never more CarJet. This is fraud.

Car Jet and Windy Car are two fake companies that have joined forces and are deceiving customers. Even though I have a premium full insurance package, they took my money of 285 USD and are not returning it. Windy Car took my money and said Car Jet should return it. Car Jet says that Windy Car is responsible. That is your goal!

Emergency hire due to attending a funeral, secured a deal through carjet, 3 days before travel received email cancelling the deal but offered me a "special deal" which added $300 to the price. Absolute rubbish.

I was booking a car in Australia and price was quoted in $ (the currency of Australia). At no point did the quote say that it was in USD or US$, so I was most surprised to have to pay a LOT more for my car. Added to that, when I followed up with CarJet after the rental to see what compensation they could offer me, they just went silent. Very disappointing experience and I will not use CarJet again

AVOID THIS SERVICE; THEY ARE DECEPTIVE!

AVOID THIS SERVICE; THEY ARE DECEPTIVE! This company is misleading and dishonest. They assign vehicles that are inadequate for your needs, and upon arrival, you find yourself forced to pay significantly more just to obtain a suitable option. We informed them about needing three car seats for our children and having at least six pieces of luggage, yet we were given a compact car which was only revealed at collection. Additionally, we were told our initial payment would be subtracted from the final charge, but that did not happen. When we sought a refund for the initial payment, the responses we received were unacceptable and did not address our concerns. Interacting with their automated support was frustrating. This is a terrible and fraudulent service to engage with.

Disappointing experience with refunds

I scheduled an appointment and canceled it the following day, deciding not to use their services. I requested a refund but received no response. It's been a week, and I'm still waiting for my money. I do not recommend this service; exercise caution, or you may lose your funds.

Accessing vehicles on the platform was a breeze

Accessing the vehicles I was interested in on the platform was exceptional, and the payment process for the hire was simple and straightforward. The confirmation emails were prompt and informative, even including details about eSim cards, which was a nice touch. My only concern, which has been mentioned in various reviews, is regarding the additional insurance we purchase for the excess when booking the vehicle. It claims to provide peace of mind as fully insured! However, at the car hire offices during pickup, they don’t acknowledge this extra coverage and essentially pressure customers into purchasing their own insurance for the excess, with staff being somewhat aggressive about it. What’s the point of offering "peace of mind" if the rental companies operate independently? This issue needs to be addressed!

Frustrating Experience with Duplicate Booking

I unintentionally created a duplicate booking because of a weak internet connection while traveling by train and ended up being charged the booking fee twice. When I notified the support team at pick-up, they assured me one booking was cancelled, but the platform later denied my request for a refund on the duplicate fee. The customer service was lacking, as I only received generic responses that didn't address my issue. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience — I won't be using this service again.
