Jez was crucially helpful in my OASC prep, the one on one interview covered very similar topics to those that came up on the day, and the group planning ex practice gave me a perfect framework to ace the real thing. All the prep with MAP 100% contributed to my pass.
MAP set me up to get selected for a competitive role in the RAF.Before I discovered MAP, I had no guidance for OASC, scouring the internet for useful resources, however, they were either outdated or irrelevant. After finding MAP, I took part in all the activities which made selection far more straightforward than anticipated. A key factor of being selected for my first choice in the RAF.I would highly recommend people who are wishing to join the military as an officer to use MAP as it only sets up for success.
MAP was extremely helpful in my preparation for Officer Selection. Provided clear and constructive feedback followed up with well-structured lessons and great resources to complete. It builds confidence quickly and works on your weak points to build you up into a confident candidate.I couldn’t recommend this enough to anyone who is attending Officer Selection in any of the services.
I was extremely fortunate to come across MAP for my second attempt at OASC, which I am happy to say I passed! The planning exercise and interview sessions were crucial for building both my confidence and the skills necessary to perform at my best on the day. Jez is incredibly patient, supportive and knowledgable, with invaluable tips to help anyone succeed. I can’t recommend MAP highly enough!
Jez, is the perfect person to go too when looking for information on the military. I failed OASC for pilot and found out about Jez. We had a few sessions and he helped me out tremendously and helped me pass my OASC for pilot at my second try. 100% recommend.

I did a handful of sessions with Jez back in 2024 prior to my RAF interviews at OASC. The sessions we did were invaluable, the group tasks with other applicants and 1 to 1 mock interviews really gave me an edge for the real thing. Regardless of whatever service or role you’re applying for, the sessions MAP offer are suited perfectly! 10/10
After failing my first attempt at the Royal Navy AIB, I sought out Military Assessment Preparation for additional support. Jez’s experience proved invaluable, particularly during the planning exercise sessions, which closely replicated the pressure and structure of the real event. Through several sessions and clear, focused guidance, MAP helped me understand where I was falling short and how to improve. As a result, I passed my second AIB attempt with flying colours and have now been selected to begin officer training with the Royal Navy.

Military Assessment Preparation (MAP) is a specialist mentoring service founded and run by a serving military officer.
I created MAP to help aspiring officers prepare properly for the realities of selection. Having been through the process myself and now operating within it professionally, I understand the standards expected and the common mistakes candidates make.
MAP focuses on structured preparation for officer selection in the RAF, Army and Royal Navy. The emphasis is not on shortcuts or scripted answers, but on developing clear thinking, confident communication and sound decision-making under pressure.
Services include:
• Realistic virtual group planning exercises
• One-to-one mentoring tailored to your stage of application
• Interview preparation built around structured, evidence-based responses
• Performance frameworks that are equally useful for competitive civilian assessments
A key differentiator is the use of live, interactive planning exercises that simulate the pressure and ambiguity of real assessment tasks. Candidates receive direct, honest feedback on leadership behaviours, prioritisation, teamwork and clarity of thought.
MAP is intentionally focused and personal. Every session is delivered directly by me. The aim is simple: to help serious candidates approach selection with structure, composure and professional standards.See more
