I had a highly distressing experience with a medical professional in December 2025. I was referred by a representative from a clinic, who presented the entire service as a cohesive process. The contract specified a total fee of £3,800 (£2,300 non-refundable deposit + £1,500 balance). The procedure was postponed twice due to newly diagnosed high blood pressure, confirmed by a private GP, who prescribed effective medication. On the second attempt, the doctor instructed an additional full dose of medication, despite knowing my daily maximum had been taken earlier, putting me at risk of overdose and severe complications. Additionally, I was administered a sedative without any explanation of risks or side effects, despite my existing health conditions. No informed consent was obtained. I was discharged after a very short period with no monitoring, even after reporting unusual symptoms. Shortly after, I experienced a serious reaction, described in a GP letter as a “significant and traumatic” event, leading to ongoing anxiety and making it unsafe for me to return. Based on my experience and numerous other reviews, it appears that technicians handle most of the work, with the doctor minimally involved. Communication was often difficult, and there was a lack of professionalism with equipment left unattended. This situation represents a serious lapse in care, safety, and consent. The clinic's terms allow for a limited refund for unforeseen medical conditions, but none has been offered. The clinic's safety rating is concerning. I have initiated a chargeback, reported the doctor and clinic to the relevant authorities, and raised concerns about misleading advertising. I urge others to conduct thorough research, check safety ratings, and ensure full consent and oversight from the surgeon. This was one of the most distressing medical experiences I've had — I strongly advise against it.
I had a deeply traumatic experience with Dr Khawaja Masood Munir in December 2025.Joseph Primarolo from Shrewsbury Hair Loss Clinic Limited referred me, presenting the whole service as one integrated operation. The contract listed a single total of £3,800 (£2,300 non-refundable deposit + £1,500 balance). The procedure was cancelled twice due to newly diagnosed high blood pressure (confirmed as "new hypertension" by a private GP in Shrewsbury, who prescribed medication that worked well at home). On the second attempt (18 Dec 2025), Dr Munir instructed an extra full dose of Amlodipine — despite knowing my daily maximum had been taken 12 hours earlier — risking overdose, acute hypotension, and shock. He then administered diazepam without explaining risks, side effects, or interactions (I have epilepsy and take high-dose Lamotrigine, increasing severe CNS and paradoxical reaction risks). No informed consent was given.Discharged after only 15–20 minutes with no monitoring, despite me reporting strange effects. Shortly after, I suffered a severe reaction: confusion, slurred speech, extreme drowsiness, unsteadiness, dizziness, and terrifying visual/auditory hallucinations. A GP letter describes it as a “significant and traumatic” adverse reaction, causing situational anxiety. It is now unsafe for me to return due to stress-induced BP spikes. From my visit and many other reviews, technicians perform the majority of the work, with Dr Munir barely involved. Staff often struggled with English; Munir spoke too fast to understand. Random medical equipment was left lying around — very unprofessional. This was a serious failure in duty of care, safety, and consent. The clinic’s T&Cs (section 5.3) allow a refund minus £500 max for unknown medical conditions preventing rescheduling — yet none has been offered. Manchester’s CQC rating is “Requires Improvement” with ongoing safety concerns.I have started a Section 75 chargeback, reported Dr Munir to the GMC, the clinic to the CQC, and misleading advertising to the ASA.Do thorough research, check CQC ratings, and insist on full consent and surgeon oversight. One of the worst medical experiences of my life — avoid at all costs.
I have wanted to do this review for some time but waited to give a fairer response to see how the surgery developed. I had my transplant in May, it’s now approaching 4-months. The hairline is coming through, seems to be thickening up which is good. The donor area has been over harvested which I’m particularly upset about given I specifically asked for this to be carefully harvested and didn’t even have the maximum amount of grafts. Also, I wanted a few grafts on the crown which is thinning but I was told ‘you can come back for a second surgery’, which I thought was weird considering I didn’t have maximum grafts. Also, given it’s quite an exposing and vulnerable day, I didn’t appreciate the 3 or 4 attempts to upsell me to products and PRP while I was mid-surgery, it felt like they were trying to take advantage which I decided to avoid. The actual day was pretty uncomfortable too. I walked in and there were about 15 different contact points and people I was bounced around to, majority didn’t speak good English, no attempts to soothe, welcome or relax me given it’s an intense and invasive procedure. I won’t list the surgeon name as I believe he was good, and reassuring. The main issue is that you see him for a very small portion of the day. The rest of the day you are with junior members of staff - the one leading my transplant was fresh out of university, rude and quite frankly not qualified to conduct the transplant. Right at the start I mentioned to all people I spoke to about my concerns of over harvesting on the donor area. Low and behold 4-months later and after getting my second skin fade it becomes clearly apparent what area was the donor area - which is very shoddy work. I was very close to using KSL as I know they have good reviews. I decided to use MyHairUK as it saved me £2,000. Mistake. Do not make this same mistake, go somewhere who offers more diligence and care in the procedure. The aftercare was also limited. They do have a number you can call for concerns or questions, which I used and was helpful. But the proactive follow ons were non existent, I got one call at 7-days post op and I believe that was it. Left on my own after that. To summarise, the day itself was fairly traumatic with absolutely no care for the patient. They continued to attempt to upsell me mid-transplant while I was delusional and completely exhausted. The aftercare was available and useful, but not proactive, I got one call 7 days after the transplant and I believe that was it. 4-months on the donor area is over harvested, but the hairline is thickening up. I am happy with the hairline progress so far, which is why I have not given 1-star. There are definitely better places to go for customer care and outcome, don’t go for the cheaper ‘conveyer belt’ option. I hope this helps anyone considering their choices.
Overall a very good experience with the clinic and staff for my trainsplant, it's now been 6 weeks and everything has healed nicely. Daniel my Trichologist was very helpful throughout, checking on me before and after surgery, and on the day Dr Mir did a great job of explaining everything and the 2 nurses were chatting away all day making sure I was happy. For the price (considering it wasnt much more than I was quoted in Turkey once the flights were factored in) I'm delighted with how it went and looking forward to seeing the results later in the year
Very friendly clinic that spent a lot of time with me explaining all the different treatment options over the phone and the reasons for my hair loss and what I could do about it. The day itself went smoothly, Dr Mir came across as really professional and the nurse team spent the day chatting to me and making sure I was comfortable. Results have been very good so far even though it's only been 5 months and I have plenty more new hair growth to come. Very pleased with my choice and i have already recommended them to a family member
My procedure was in December at the Harrow clinic, Dr Mir was really friendly, and I cant think of a single negative thing to say about the day. Very little pain from the anaesthetic, I fell asleep for most of the afternoon and when I woke up we were finished! 3 months on it's healed perfectly and I'm starting to see new growth. The clinic looked after me start to finish in a very professional manner, and I'm looking forward to summer and the final result, I'd definitely recommend them.
My surgery was done by Dr Munir in December, the day went really smoothly, with very little discomfort and I was looked after really well by the clinic. More importantly it's now been 7 months and the results have been fantastic. While it's still some way off the 1 year I was advised it will take to see the final outcome, my new hairline looks great - it's such a big improvement over how I looked and I've already referred a few friends to the clinic, very pleased, definite 5 star rating.
I am now 4 weeks post surgery from my transplant at the London branch of the My Hair clinic and so far everything has gone about as well ass it possible could have. The 4 star review might look harsh as I can't think of anything that could have been done better but I will update it to a 5 star review once I see my final result, which I'm told is about 12 months down the line. The full team at the clinic did a very good job of taking care of me and making sure I was comfortable and the surgeon clearly knew his stuff and spent a lot of time discussing exactly how I'd like it to look beforehand. Aftercare has been great with my consultant answering any queries or questions really quickly, and it healed up perfectly. Great service from knowledgeable people.
My transplant was 4 weeks ago, I was a little nervous beforehand but I think that's just normal, and the surgeon did a brilliant job of calming me down by explaining clearly what was going to happen and planning my new hairline. The surgery itself flew by, with the nurses who spent all day chatting with me and making sure I had everything I needed. The anaesthetic injections did sting a little which I was warned about, but that was only for a couple of minutes and the rest of the day was totally pain free.I got a great guide for the aftercare and they have been quick to answer any questions on whatsapp. My recovery was really fast (about 9 days) and I was back to work.I can absolutely recommend this clinic, really friendly and did a brilliant job for me.
I'm absolutely delighted with how my transplant went, it was all really simple to arrange, from the initial video consultation, to a visit to the clinic to chat to the doctor, and then on the day things went really smoothly, pain free and the technicians there were really chatty and kept me happy all day. Aftercare follow up has been great with the videos and any questions answered via whatsapp promptly. top marks!
