I ordered two backpacks from Backvac. One arrived fine, but the black backpack arrived in damaged packaging with a large slit through the bag that clearly cut into the product.
I immediately contacted customer service the same day and provided multiple photos showing the damage. The packaging was extremely thin for such an expensive item and provided very little protection.
Instead of helping resolve the issue or offering an exchange, their support team told me the package was delivered in “perfect condition” and sent a FedEx proof-of-delivery photo as their justification.
The problem is that the FedEx photo only shows one side of the package. The side that happened to be intact. The other side has a large slit cut through it, which I clearly documented with photos and video. The bag has never come out of its packaging.
It’s extremely disappointing to be treated as if I’m being dishonest when I provided clear evidence of the damage. Shipping carriers make mistakes, and packages get damaged during transit…this is not unusual. What is unusual is a company refusing to stand behind their product or work with a customer to resolve the situation.
For the price of these backpacks, I expected much better packaging and much better customer service. All I wanted was to exchange the damaged product.

have been seeing Backvac advertisements online for a while and always thought the concept was really cool. My aunt recently bought one and I finally got to see it in person. It honestly looked exactly like it does in the advertisements, which made me decide to buy one myself. I purchased the Backvac Pro and I love it.The shipping time was exactly as described on their website, which I really appreciated. When the bag arrived, I could immediately tell it was made with very durable, high quality materials.I recently went on a trip and wanted to really test this bag out. I was able to fit a full week’s worth of clothes in it and I even had room for my sweatshirts to place on top, which were safely secured with the strap. I definitely could have fit more outfits, but there was no need.I had no issues at the airport with this bag at all. Overall I am really impressed with it and I am excited to use it for my next adventure. I would definitely recommend it.
I purchased this backpack because it was marketed as being suitable for carry-on travel with a capacity of up to about 70 liters.When I packed it for my trip, I transferred the contents from my Monos airline-compliant carry-on suitcase (approximately 30–40 liters) into the backpack. Even at roughly this amount of clothing — about half of the advertised capacity — the backpack expanded significantly wider than typical carry-on dimensions.In practical terms, it becomes too bulky for carry-on travel well before it is fully packed.I contacted Backvac support about returning the bag once I realized this issue. My initial message was sent only about two days outside their 30-day return window because the problem only became apparent when packing for travel. Despite explaining the situation and providing comparison photos, they declined the return strictly due to the policy.The bag may still be useful for road trips or checked luggage, but buyers who are specifically looking for a carry-on travel bag should carefully consider how large it becomes once packed
Absolutely love the Backvac! The product is very convenient, easy to use, and perfect for keeping everything organized while traveling. The vacuum feature works great and really helps save space in my luggage.I’m also very impressed with the excellent customer service — the team was responsive, helpful, and made the whole experience smooth and pleasant.Highly recommend both the product and the service!
Product took 6 weeks to ship and bill of materials reflected all 4 products ordered but package contained only 2 of the 4 items. Product was returned and they declined to issue a refund since the original packaging was not included. Backvac is keeping the brand new backvac and not refunding my money. Horrible customer experience.
